Punting Strategy and Players Who Can Help You Pull It Off

Punting in head-to-head formats is certainly a well-versed strategy. For those that aren’t experienced in punting, Dave Sun has you covered with his piece on How To Punt And Win. I have won numerous leagues when employing a punting strategy. In fact, on occasions, I have punted up to four out of nine categories. That being said, managers are generally implored to punt only one or two categories.

Given the ins-and-outs of punting have been covered, this article is a simple tool for those less experienced in the art of the punt. Managers should keep in mind, of course, that punting is typically suited to head-to-head formats only. I will list players that are relevant in standard formats to ensure consistency. Where relevant, I will also list players in statistically compatible positions. For instance, when punting rebounds, I will list centers and forwards as opposed to guards.
