It’s finally time to unveil the top 200 dynasty basketball rankings. As we approach the All-Star break, there have been a lot of surprises this season, both good and bad. Many young stars are finally tapping into their potential, while many top fantasy basketball producers have hit some rough patches this year. The trade deadline has passed, with several non-contending teams dealing off key pieces, giving way to some younger players getting more court time and possibly breaking out in the second half of the season.
Risers
Alperen Sengun has seen his fantasy game elevate every season. The only thing keeping Sengun out of the top-10 or even top-five dynasty ranks is his lack of blocks and threes. If that part of his fantasy game evolves, he will be mentioned as one of the top dynasty players in the game.
Jaden Ivey had a slow start to the season, but he has shot up the dynasty basketball ranks with his recent play. He is averaging 20.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 2.6 three-pointers over the last month. The Pistons unloaded Bogdanovic and Burks at the trade deadline, which has opened up more playing time for Ivey.
Donte DiVincenzo is amid one the hottest stretches of his career. He currently has a 13-game double-digit scoring streak, where he is averaging 22 points over that span. Over the last month, he is averaging 20.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.1 steals, and 4.1 three-pointers.
Fallers
Darius Garland is arguably having his worst fantasy season since his rookie year. In his last eight games, he is averaging 12.8 points, 5.9 assists, 1.3 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 1.3 three-pointers. Garland is only 24 years old, so it’s not time to hit the panic button just yet. How he finishes up this season will go a long way towards determining his dynasty value next year.
A foot injury has knocked Zach LaVine out for the season. His year comes to an end with his lowest averages in points, threes, and assists since the 2017-18 season. The emergence of Coby White has likely lead to less touches for LaVine. Durability is also starting to become a concern as he is averaging 52 games played over the last eight seasons.
Jaylen Brown is coming off the best fantasy season of his career, where he averaged multiple career highs. However, this season is a different story, as he is posting his lowest average in rebounding since 2018-19. And he is putting up his lowest scoring average since the 2019-20 season. He is only averaging 18 points per game over the last month.
Potential Breakouts
Kobe Bufkin has only appeared in four games this season with the Atlanta Hawks. A starting backcourt duo of Trae Young and Dejounte Murray is the main reason for that. Trade rumors swirled at the deadline of Murray potentially being dealt, but nothing materialized. Young has also popped up in trade talks. If either player is dealt in the offseason, the big winner would be Bufkin.
Jalen Wilson is seeing more playing time since Royce O’Neal was shipped off to Phoenix. He has played at least 18 minutes in each of the last five games. If Brooklyn falls further out of the playoff race, Wilson’s court time should only increase. He is a second-round draft pick out of the University of Kansas, where he averaged 20.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.9 three-pointers in his junior season.
The Trail Blazers are in the hunt for a top-five draft pick. They will most likely turn to their youth in the second half of the season. This makes Kris Murray a name to keep an eye on after the All-Star break. They should give him a long look and see what they have in their first-round selection in the 2023 draft. Shaedon Sharpe could be out for the year, so it could give Murray more opportunities to see court time for the rest of the season. He averaged 20.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steal, 1.2 blocks, and 2.3 three-pointers in his final season at the University of Iowa.
