As the fantasy basketball season barrels toward its climax, savvy managers in deep leagues know that every pickup counts. Week 20 presents a crucial juncture where every point, rebound, and assist can make all the difference. Whether you’re looking to secure a playoff spot or climb the standings—finding under-the-radar players is vital for success. Let’s delve into some overlooked options with the top Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds for Deep Leagues in Week 20!

The following players are rostered in less than 50% of Fantrax leagues.

Deep League Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds for Week 20

Vasilije Micić, PG – Charlotte Hornets (48% rostered)

Coming fresh off a career-high 10 assists on Saturday, Micić (me-chitch) is easily my top pickup of the week. The 30-year-old has been THRIVING over the past five games, averaging 14.4 points, 6.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.2 steals. With no return in sight for LaMelo Ball, the Serbian point guard should start the rest of the way for the rebuilding Hornets. Add the former 2014 second-round pick if you need dimes, points, boards, and swipes with the occasional triple mixed in.

Dalano Banton, PG – Portland Trailblazers (33% rostered)

Banton was my favorite Super Deep League pickup a month ago, and it seems like he is finally getting the playing time he deserves. Since entering the starting lineup four games ago, the 24-year-old is averaging 21.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.0 three-pointers, and 1.1 Stocks. The Nebraska product would be higher on this list, but I believe Micic has a safer floor for the rest of the season. Either way, Banton deserves a look in all leagues while he’s this hot.

Dorian Finney-Smith, SF/PF/C – Brooklyn Nets (49% rostered)

After a mediocre February, Finney-Smith has been on a rampage over the past six games, averaging 12.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.5 three-pointers, and 1.0 steals. The 30-year-old is also averaging a whopping 35.1 minutes during that span. The Florida product is the perfect addition to anyone’s nine-category bench as he contributes in virtually every category.

Jake LaRavia, PF – Memphis Grizzlies (34% rostered)

It’s time to rave about LaRavia. The 22-year-old is averaging, 15.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.8 steals, 1.5 three-pointers, and 1.0 blocks (33.4 fantasy points) over the past four games. He’s also averaging 27.7 minutes during that span. The tanking Grizzlies have every incentive to play their former first-round pick heavy minutes the rest of the way. The Wake Forest product has proven to be an elite fantasy contributor when given the minutes.

Georges Niang, PF – Cleveland Cavaliers (23% rostered)

Niang (KNEE-yang) has stepped up tremendously in Evan Mobley’s (ankle) absence, averaging 16.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 3.3 three-pointers, and 1.3 steals over the past three games in the starting lineup. The 30-year-old is guaranteed to play massive minutes over the next two games, as Mobley won’t be reevaluated until Wednesday. Stream the Iowa State product until Mobley returns.

Davis Bertans, PF – Charlotte Hornets (16% rostered)

Bertans has scored double-digit points in five games straight, averaging 12.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.6 three-pointers, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals. The “Latvian Laser” is shooting 40.0% from beyond the arc during that span. The Hornets seem content on playing their newly-acquired sharpshooter-heavy minutes off the bench, so if you need triples, points, and rebounds, give the 31-year-old a long look.

As for this article? In the famous words of Chick Hearn, “You can put this one in the refrigerator. The door’s closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter’s getting hard and the Jell-O is jiggling.”
