Week 12 Rankings from CDM Champion Mick Ciallela

My Week 12 rankings feel a little bare without having the Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs to rely on. The teams are on a bye this week after nearly breaking Twitter during their 54-51 instant classic on Monday night. As strange as it may seem, it will likely be more difficult to replace the production of the players who are off this week as opposed to the six teams who were off last week. Between the two teams, they boast the top two fantasy quarterbacks, two of the top three running backs, three of the top 11 wide receivers, the top tight end, the second-best kicker, and two of the top six fantasy defenses. That is quite a bit of production by the wayside this week.

There is also a bit of injury news to deal with. Mitchell Trubisky, the overall QB7 on the year, is on the wrong side of a questionable tag. Chicago travels to Detroit on Thanksgiving to face the Lions. Even if Trubisky does play, I would rather start Lamar Jackson or Jameis Winston if either is available. I would not rush to get any other Bears out of my lineup, but expectations should probably be tempered a bit. Saints receiver Tre’quan Smith, fresh off his outstanding performance last week, is also looking iffy for Thursday night’s game against Atlanta. Even if he makes it onto the field, I see him as a boom-or-bust WR3. I bumped Keith Kirkwood up quite a bit in the event Smith sits. Kirkwood is a bit of a desperation play, but the opportunity and the matchup warrant consideration.

Below are the rest of my Week 12 rankings. As always, make sure to stay on top of the latest news. With three Thursday games on the slate, there will certainly be a lot to digest between now and the weekend. And that doesn’t even factor in the turkey… Anyway, feel free to comment below or contact me on Twitter with any specific start/sit decisions you may have. Happy Thanksgiving and best of luck in Week 12!
