CeeDee Lamb

Prop Pick: Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-125)

Week 1 @ the New York Giants, CeeDee Lamb’s services were not needed as the Cowboys blew the G-Men out 40-0. Still, Lamb went a perfect 4-4 posting 77 yards. Last time out, Lamb was much more involved. In Week 2 against the Jets, the wide receiver received 13 targets from Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. The production continued as Lamb caught 11 of those targets for an explosive 143 yards. So far this season the Arizona Cardinals have given up 3 passing touchdowns. Lamb has yet to find the end zone this season. He’s high profile enough to warrant his team putting an extra emphasis on seeing him score this weekend. If Lamb receives anywhere near the amount of attention that he got from Prescott last week then he’s practically got one foot in the painted area already.

Justin Jefferson

Prop Pick: Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-105)

It’s Week 3 and Justin Jefferson does not have a touchdown. If J-Jettas goes three straight games without a score, you’d better believe we’d hear about it on every sports talk show across the country. The Vikings will certainly look to avoid that negative publicity when they meet the Chargers this week. This game, being played in Minneapolis, has the highest Vegas point total of the slate at 53.5. The variables are there for a Jefferson anytime touchdown. He hasn’t found the end zone yet, the Chargers have given up four touchdowns so far this season, all through the air, and the projected point total is high. This perfect storm will be hard to ignore at -105.

James Cook

Prop Pick: Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+145)

James Cook’s usage in Week 1 wasn’t anything to write home about. He was afforded 12 totes, which he took for an unremarkable 46 yards. The only bright spot in the Week 1 loss was the fact that he was targeted 6 times out of the backfield. Cook got a big bump in usage in Week 2 when he took 17 carries for 123 rushing yards, adding 36 receiving yards on four catches. This week, James Cook and the Bills get a 2-0 Washington Commanders team that hasn’t really played anybody yet. In fact, at this point of the season, the Commanders’ defense has only given up one score, a rushing touchdown to Broncos RB Jaleel McLaughlin. Washington may be in for a rude awakening, however, when the Bills march towards the Capitol this Sunday.

DeAndre Hopkins

Prop Pick: Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+240)

I can’t recall the last time that I’ve seen a player this talented get such a gracious line. I had to wipe my eyes out a couple of times when I first saw the +240 next to the former All-Pro’s name. Through two weeks, Hopkins has already racked up a ridiculous 18 targets. In Week 1, Hopkins was peppered with a team-high 13 targets. Oddly enough, the connection between Titans QB Ryan Tannehill and Hopkins seemed sharper last week against the Chargers where the WR only caught four passes on just six looks. I say “just six” because that’s a low number for a receiver of his caliber, even in a clear run-first offense such as the Titans’. The Titans have been searching for a legit threat at WR since trading AJ Brown to the Eagles. Hopkins will look to jumpstart that new era. He should have plenty of opportunities when the Titans take the field against a Browns team that may have trouble moving the ball without their star running back Nick Chubb.
