Fantasy Hockey Week 26 Goalie Streams – 04/08/24

For the final week of the year of regular season fantasy hockey, there are some great goalie options you can add to your fantasy team in week 26. Whether it is because you need goaltenders for this week or potentially longer, we’ll provide you with the best ones to pick up. When looking for goalies to stream in fantasy hockey, it’s best to look at back-to-backs, if there are injuries to starters, or if a starter is struggling. This is a look at the three best goalie streams in Week 26 of the fantasy hockey season.

Fantasy Hockey Week 26 Goalie Streams

Dustin Wolf, Calgary Flames

As the Calgary Flames are eliminated from the playoffs already, that means the team is more inclined to start their top prospect Dustin Wolf in more games. Over the past 11 games, he has started six of them, four times finishing with a SV% of over .900 and winning twice. Fortunately, this week is going to be as easy as it comes for the Flames as the team faces the San Jose Sharks, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks, and Arizona Coyotes. The Kings and Ducks are on back-to-back nights, so it’s likely Wolf draws the easier matchup in the Ducks.

Wolf may have a .895 SV% on the season, but he is likely going to get two starts this week against two bottom-three teams in the league. The Flames are still putting in a lot of effort in front of their goalies and he has a good chance at providing some great value for fantasy playoffs.

Petr Mrazek, Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks might be one of the worst teams in the league this season, but Petr Mrazek has far from been the problem. He has had a very strong season despite the team in front of him, sporting a .907 SV% and having 17 of his team’s 23 wins this season. The reason Mrazek could be valuable is because goalies might be scarce at this time of the year and it will likely be difficult to find a netminder that plays multiple times this week. Mrazek should play two to three times.

The Blackhawks play the St. Louis Blues, Nashville Predators, and Carolina Hurricanes. The Blues have struggled against bottom teams, the Predators haven’t scored a ton as of late, being shut out twice last week, and while the Hurricanes will be a tough test, they shoot a lot, potentially leading to a higher SV% for Mrazek if he gets the start. Despite not winning a ton, Mrazek has been a decent goalie to roster in fantasy this season.

Calvin Pickard, Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers have gone to Calvin Pickard a decent amount lately, and it’s not due to Stuart Skinner struggling either. Heading into playoffs, which the Oilers have clinched, they want their starter fresh, unlike he was last season. Pickard has done an excellent job as the backup this season after he was recalled early on. He is very reliable when it comes to getting a win for fantasy as he has won 12 times in 18 starts.

The Oilers play three times this week against the Vegas Golden Knights, Coyotes, and Vancouver Canucks. Pickard is getting in one of those games, and it’s likely against the Coyotes on the front end of the back-to-back. The Oilers have started their backup in the first game before if the matchup is better suited for him, and lucky for fantasy owners of Pickard, it’s a much easier game to do well in and win. Pickard has a .913 SV% on the season with one shutout.

Make sure to take advantage of these goalies for this week. The longer you wait, the more of a chance someone you may want is picked up before you get to them. There are early games that you will want to take advantage of as well. While a couple of these goaltenders should get at least one start this week, be sure to keep an eye on any other options throughout the week that may become solid options as well.
