There was a long list of players entering NHL Covid-19 protocols on Tuesday. If one of your players was involved, you’ll need to find a replacement. Ideally not one from the Calgary Flames or Carolina Hurricanes, as both clubs have needed games to be postponed. The fantasy hockey waiver wire report will help steer you in the right direction.

Week 10 Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire
Forwards
Evan Rodrigues, C/LW, Pittsburgh Penguins (51% Rostered)
I feel like some managers are hesitant to grab Rodrigues from the fantasy hockey waiver wire, with the thought that his production will slow down. It might, but it hasn’t yet. Through 28 games, he has 22 points and has tied his career-high with nine goals. That’s a 64 point pace, which would shatter his career-high of 29 points. He plays on the top line and first power-play unit alongside Sidney Crosby. There’s no doubting the effect Crosby has on his wingers, as it’s been proven time and time again that they’ll produce on his line. Rodrigues makes for a solid pick-up for as long as he can remain in the Penguins’ top six. Given all their injuries, he might stay there for a while.
Ondrej Kase, RW, Toronto Maple Leafs (34% Rostered)
After injuries limited him to just three contests last season, Kase has found himself in 27 matchups for the Maple Leafs this year. He’s scored eight goals, seven assists, and a plus-4 rating. He has an ongoing five-game point streak and has nine points in his past eight appearances. Kase’s ice-time is ramping up in recent weeks, and he played a season-high 20:46 Tuesday night. He’s playing on the top line with Auston Matthews in Mitch Marner’s absence and seeing time on the top power-play unit. Similar to Rodrigues, Kase is a good player to add while he’s in Toronto’s top six.
Nathan Walker, C/LW, St. Louis Blues (16% Rostered)
The 27-year-old only had 25 career NHL games under his belt, spread across the past four seasons. He had just six points over that span. Injuries to the Blues gave Walker another NHL opportunity. He certainly made the most of it, as he scored a hat trick in his first game. He’s followed that up with another two-point appearance, giving him five points through four outings. He has 13 shots, 11 hits, and a plus-6 rating. Walker is playing on the third line with no power-play time, so he’s mainly a waiver wire claim for deeper leagues.
Defense
Noah Dobson, D, New York Islanders (58% Rostered)
Dobson’s role with the Islanders has progressively increased each year. He went from averaging 13:17 of ice time in his rookie campaign, to 16:24 last year, to 19:56 this year. The jump this year is partly due to injuries to the Islanders’ blue line, which is still without Ryan Pulock. This means Dobson also gets placed on the top power-play unit, where he’s scored three points thus far. He has nine points in 22 games on the season, which puts him on pace to easily surpass last year’s 14 point total. Dobson has an active three-game point-streak, with points in five of his latest six matchups.
Goaltending
Anton Forsberg, G, Ottawa Senators (19% Rostered)
You may remember him as the goalie that was on real waivers several times early last season. He eventually found a home in Ottawa but was seen as the backup or third string. With Matt Murray sent to the AHL after a poor start this season, Forsberg has taken hold of the crease. Forsberg’s overall numbers on the season aren’t impressive, but his recent run sure is. He’s on a five-game winning streak, in which he’s only conceded 11 goals against. He has a .933 save percentage over that stretch, along with a shutout. He and his Senators are rolling, as they’ve defeated some stiff competition during their run, including the Carolina Hurricanes, Colorado Avalanche, New Jersey Devils, Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Florida Panthers. Ottawa shut out Tampa Bay 4-0, and lit up the Panthers in an 8-2 victory. If you want to ride the hot hand, go with Forsberg.
Charlie Lindgren, G, St. Louis Blues (17% Rostered)
With Jordan Binnington and Ville Husso both out, you’d think the Blues would be in trouble. Enter Lindgren, who’s gone 4-0-0 and erased any concerns. His NHL experience is limited, having previously made just 24 appearances across five seasons with the Montreal Canadiens. He’s fit right in with the Blues, posting a 1.29 GAA and .956 save percentage. It’s unclear how long Lindgren will have the crease before Binnington returns and reclaims the net. Streaming Lindgren until that happens would be a wise move.
