Fantasy Hockey Week 25 Waiver-Wire Goalies

The waiver wire is a valuable way to add hidden gems and overlooked players to your fantasy hockey club. This remains true whether you plan to have them as short-term or long-term parts of your fantasy hockey roster. Now that we are officially in April, we better understand which waiver-wire goalies are worth adding. As a result, here are three waiver-wire goalies worth snagging in Week 25.

Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Goalies to Consider for Week 25

Jonathan Quick, New York Rangers

Jonathan Quick has been such a feel-good story for the New York Rangers this season. After a few rough seasons, the future Hall of Famer has bounced back big time with the Blueshirts. In 26 games, he has an 18-5-2 record, a .913 SV%, and a 2.56 GAA. He has been excellent all season, and he is worth bringing in as a waiver-wire addition this week for that reason alone.

However, what is more encouraging about Quick is that his play is only improving as the season rolls on. He has won nine out of his last 10 appearances and has been nothing short of marvelous. Because of this, you would be crazy not to consider adding him as a waiver-wire pickup to your roster if he is still available in your league.

Alex Lyon, Detroit Red Wings

Alex Lyon is another waiver-wire goalie whom fantasy managers should consider adding this week. The 31-year-old goalie has been a big surprise for the Red Wings this season and has cemented himself as a true NHLer. In 40 games on the year, he has a 19-17-4 record and a .906 SV%.

Lyon has emerged as the Red Wings’ best goaltender. With the Red Wings looking to secure a playoff spot, Lyon is extra motivated, and that can be seen by his marvelous stats as of late. In three of his recent starts, he has posted a .969 SV%, a .947%, and a .944 SV%. He has been spectacular, and he’s the kind of waiver-wire addition to make this week because of it.

Ivan Fedotov, Philadelphia Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers made a major move when they finally signed Ivan Fedotov. The promising goaltender is viewed as having a plethora of potential, and he is now finally getting the opportunity to play in the NHL. With the Flyers needing help between the pipes, his arrival could not have come at a perfect time. Because of this, he is a waiver-wire goalie to bring in this week.

Fedotov has shown promise during his first appearances with the Flyers, and he should continue to improve as he garners more NHL experience. He will also be getting plenty of chances to shine during this final stretch of the year. As a result, he will be put in a position to succeed, and he’s worth major consideration as a waiver-wire pickup this week.

Nevertheless, it is quite apparent that this week offers some strong waiver-wire goalie options. It will be intriguing to see how well Quick, Lyon, and Fedorov perform down the stretch from here. They each have the potential to end the year on a high note.
