Fantasy Hockey Week 20 Goalie Streams – 02/26/24

In the 20th week of the 2023-24 NHL season, there are some good options in net to add to your fantasy team. Whether you need goalies for just this week or for longer, we’ll cover the best ones to pick up. When looking for goalies to stream in fantasy hockey, it’s best to look at back-to-backs, if there are injuries to starters, or if a starter is struggling. This is a look at the three best options in net to stream in Week 20 of the fantasy hockey season.

Fantasy Hockey Week 20 Goalie Streams

David Rittich, Los Angeles Kings

It seems as though the Los Angeles Kings are finally out of their long slump and are back to playing good hockey. They are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games on the back of both goaltenders. David Rittich, the backup, has been the one who has contributed more over that span though, even though Cam Talbot has had a couple of strong starts recently.

After Talbot rattled off consecutive strong games, Rittich got the call twice in a row, proving that there is still trust in him to help the Kings win. He has put up great numbers this season when called upon and is 9-3-3 with a .917 SV%, 2.21 GAA, and one shutout. The Kings play four times this week against the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks, and New Jersey Devils. Expect Rittich to start at least two of those games, especially since the first two are back-to-backs. Los Angeles will continue playing whoever is giving them the best chance to win.

Calvin Pickard, Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers have struggled since their 16-game win streak ended and Calvin Pickard, the backup, is playing more than normal now. While he is coming off his worst start of the season in terms of SV%, he won six in a row beforehand. He is 7-3-0 on the season and has a decent .905 SV%, so there are many worse options out there than him to run with this week.

The Oilers play four times this week as well and none of them are against top opponents. They match up against the Kings, St. Louis Blues, Seattle Kraken, and Pittsburgh Penguins. As the Oilers face the Kraken and Penguins on back-to-back nights, Pickard will start one of those. But since Stuart Skinner is coming off another tough game, expect Pickard to get the start against the Kings or Blues, more likely the Blues since Skinner just lost to them recently.

Anton Forsberg, Ottawa Senators

It seems as though Anton Forsberg is starting to take over the starting duties for the Ottawa Senators as he is playing better than Joonas Korpisalo and winning games when the Senators need them the most. Forsberg should be guaranteed two starts this week as the Senators are playing two back-to-backs this week. He seems like the goalie who could be held onto after this week as well, especially if his starts go better than Korpisalo’s.

The Senators play the Washington Capitals and Nashville Predators on consecutive nights, then later in the week see the Arizona Coyotes and Philadelphia Flyers back-to-back. If Forsberg is fortunate to play the first game of both back-to-backs, he should have much better numbers. The Predators are on a bit of a win streak, so the Capitals will be the easier matchup, while the Coyotes have lost 11 games in a row.

Make sure to take advantage of these goalies for this week. The longer you wait, the more of a chance someone you may want is picked up before you get to them. There are early games that you will want to take advantage of as well. While a couple of these goaltenders should get at least one start this week, be sure to keep an eye on any other options throughout the week that may become solid options as well.
