Fantasy Basketball Schedule Preview: March 7-13

For many teams, this is where the playoffs begin. For the most part, the schedule is even across the week with the exception of Thursday, which only has two games. One element to watch for at this point in the season are back-to-backs sets (17 this week), where starters will get the rest on one half of the set. This may make it slightly more difficult to load up the front-end or back-end of the week, so adding stats may be more difficult.

Streaming Options: Team Edition

Given the rest on back-to-backs, one strategy may be to focus on the weak portions of the schedule. The week it’s Thursday, where only four teams are in action. Given the balanced schedule the rest of the week, this is where General Managers can make up games and pad their stats.

DENVER NUGGETS (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday)

Aaron Gordon (SF/PF)

Aaron Gordon is not your most consistent player but has a consistent role on this Nuggets team. Stream him this week to give you a punch at the bottom of your lineup, and decent production in points and rebounds and occasionally a big game in defensive stats.

DeMarcus Cousins (C)

DeMarcus Cousins had a monster game with Jokic, followed by a 10-minute dud the following game. Cousins is not your center workhorse he used to be and will have to work in the gaps behind Jokic. However, in deep leagues, Cousins could provide a small spark on Thursday if Jokic is rested for the back-to-back.

Bones Hyland (PG)

Bones Hyland is another deep league play. In all actuality, when Jamal Murray returns, he might even find himself out of the lineup. This week however, Bones could provide your team with a spark of points and assists in limited minutes.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday)

Otto Porter Jr. (SF)

Otto Porter Jr. is back in the lineup and ready to contribute for your team across all categories. With a great schedule this week, Otto is a fantastic play. In a stable 25-minute role, expect solid contribution across the board, especially in threes, rebounds, and steals.

Kevon Looney (PF/C)

Kevon Looney is not the most exciting option, but until Draymond Green returns, he remains a viable option for your streaming needs, especially in deep leagues. Looney provides modest rebounds and assists from the center position with great field goal percentage, and a decent number of steals and blocks.
