Carolina Panthers over Houston Texans
My first pick of the week is the Carolina Panthers and this is a gimme. Tyrod Taylor is on the IR, and that means that Davis Mills will be the starting quarterback for the Houston Texans. Not only that but the Texans have an array of other injuries and I feel as if this Carolina Panthers team is going to roll through this banged-up Texans squad. This is likely by far the best chance that people have to use the Panthers as a sure fire win in their survival pool. These are opportunities that one must jump on.
Denver Broncos over New York Jets
The next pick is the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are playing a Jets team that just had Zach Wilson throw four interceptions in a single game against the New England Patriots. This Denver Broncos defense is stout, and they will likely force the young Wilson to turn the ball over once again. I think this will be an easy win for them and they will move onto 0-3 on the season. This is another one where this is likely one of the best opportunities that people will have to use the Denver Broncos as a sure-fire win in their survival pool.
Baltimore Ravens over Detroit Lions
Last but not least, I like the Baltimore Ravens this week against the Detroit Lions. This Lions team is a bit better than expected. I’m not going to lie. The offense has been decent and they have played two competitive teams in the 49ers and Packers tight. While it might not be the blowout that you may be expecting, I think there’s a good reason to believe that the ravens take the win here and week three over the Lions.
Teams to Avoid:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Los Angeles Rams
The two teams to avoid, and this might be quite obvious, are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Los Angeles Rams. This game could truly go either way, while I give a slight edge to the Buccaneers, it would not surprise me at all if the Rams won this game in close fashion. I expect both teams to win their division and be major playoff contenders. These are two teams that I would rather save for an easier matchup than waste trying to play the coin toss in this one.
