I was extremely annoyed when Trae Young was ruled out on Friday as our highlight player but we ended up having a great night. Getting Aron Baynes to drop 37 points and 16 rebounds at a minimum price was certainly the bright spot while Jimmy Butler, DeMar DeRozan and Myles Turner all played great too. We’re going to look to keep that momentum rolling here after my birthday on Sunday, so, let’s get into our 3/9 NBA DFS plays of the day!

3/9 NBA DFS Point Guards
Eric Bledsoe, MIL at DEN
DK ($6,600) FD ($6,200)
With Giannis Antetokounmpo missing this game, Bledsoe is one of the best options on the board. With him off the floor this season, Bled is posting a 33 percent usage rate while averaging 1.45 DK points per minute. That’s evident when you see that he’s averaging 44.5 DraftKings points per game across those five outings. That’s obviously stupendous and it’s impossible to fade him at this price tag, despite the tough matchup.
Mike Conley, UTA vs. TOR
DK ($5,300) FD ($5,600)
Conley has been stellar since his return from injury and these DFS prices are not representative of that. Where that’s really evident is in his floor, scoring at least 28 DK points in 12 of his last 13 games in total. That’s the point guard that we loved in Memphis and it’s pretty clear that he’s one of the focal points of this offense despite his early-season struggles. He had a really nice game against Toronto in their first meeting too, with Conley dropping 30 fantasy points across just 25 minutes of action.
3/9 NBA DFS Shooting Guards
Terry Rozier, CHA at ATL
DK ($5,700) FD ($5,900)
This is the game that we want to stack. These are two of the worst defenses in the NBA and it has us looking at a 4.5-point spread and 226-point total. That’s a DFS player’s dream between two bad defenses and these guys will be featured heavily on a short three-game slate. Rozier is definitely my favorite option on the Hornets, averaging 31 DK points per game across his last nine outings and 30 fantasy points per game for the season. That’s really scary for Atlanta, surrendering the most fantasy points in the league to opposing SGs.
Cam Reddish, ATL at CHA
DK ($4,500) FD ($4,600)
Reddish has quietly had a nice second half to his rookie season and he’s yet another guy we love in this game. While he did leave the last game because of cramping, Reddish is still averaging 27.1 DK points per game across 30 minutes of action over his previous nine games played. That’s a huge total from a player below $5,000 and we love the fact that he faces a Hornets team who sits 24th in defensive efficiency.
3/9 NBA DFS Small Forwards
Khris Middleton, MIL at DEN
DK ($7,600) FD ($7,000)
If you think Bledsoe’s numbers are good with Giannis off the floor, wait until you see these. Middleton is actually leading the club with a 34 percent usage rate with Antetokounmpo sidelined, averaging 1.45 DK points per minute. In the six games without Giannis, Middleton has scored at least 40 DK points in five of them while averaging 47 fantasy points per game. That makes him and Bledsoe two of the best options on the board with the terrible pricing by both sites.
De’Andre Hunter, ATL vs. CHA
DK ($5,200) FD ($4,600)
Hunter and Reddish have had pretty similar trajectories this season. Over his last 16 games played, Hunter is averaging 26 DraftKings points per game across 34 minutes of action. That’s not necessarily a great rate but any player below $5,000 playing 34 minutes is hard to avoid. The matchup makes him even tougher to fade, with the Hornets owning a 25th OPRK against opposing small forwards this season.
3/9 NBA DFS Power Forwards
P.J. Washington, CHA at ATL
DK ($5,600) FD ($5,200)
This is the secondary Charlotte piece that we like and Washington is slowly turning things around. Not only has he scored at least 26 DraftKings points in eight of his last nine games, he’s also averaging 30 fantasy points per game in those outings. That’s obviously fantastic from a player below $6,000 and we love that he faces a Hawks team who sits 28th in defensive efficiency and 29th in points allowed.
Ersan Ilyasova, MIL at DEN
DK ($4,600) FD ($3,600)
Ilyasova is generally useless when Giannis plays but he tends to start whenever he sits out. In fact, Ersan has started every game that Giannis has missed, averaging 27.8 DK points per game across 23 minutes of action in his seven starts this season. That’s obviously absurd production from a player priced so cheaply and it’s clear that he’s guaranteed 20-25 minutes of action with Antetokounmpo out. If you get 27 fantasy points in the $4,000-range, Ilyasova would be one of the best per-dollar plays out there.
3/9 NBA DFS Centers
Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. MIL
DK ($9,500) FD ($9,700)
The center options are a disaster on this three-game slate, so, let’s go with the most reliable option out there. What makes Jokic such a good choice is his recent form, averaging 23.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.9 blocks across his last 28 games played. That equates to over 50 fantasy points per game and that becomes even more attractive against a Milwaukee team who plays at the fastest pace in the NBA.
Dewayne Dedmon, ATL vs. CHA
DK ($4,100) FD ($4,700)
Dedmon just returned to the starting lineup last week and he should continue to play a sizable role with Clint Capela injured. Over his last 10 games played, DD is averaging 29 DraftKings points per game despite playing fewer than 25 minutes per outing. That tells us that he can be productive in any amount of playing time and it makes him a great option at such a reasonable price tag. The best part about using him might be the matchup though, with Charlotte surrendering the second-most fantasy points to opposing centers this season.
