Fantasy Basketball Weekend Streamers: April 7-9

The ONLY teams without two games in three nights to cap off the NBA season are Cleveland and Oklahoma City. What does that mean for fantasy managers looking to close out the season with a win? Well, that’s hard to tell.

The issue is, it’s an interesting science to predict which players will and won’t play, especially with some seeding already locked in place. In this version of fantasy streamers, I’m going to curb lengthy details and list the best options. That being said, the best way for managers to be successful in the final days is to meticulously follow team’s injury reports and pick up players accordingly. Nikola Jokic is amazing, but there is no use keeping him on your team if he’s going to sit in the final two games.

Fantasy Basketball Weekend Streamers

NBA Fantasy Streamers is a weekly article put out by Fantrax to help Fantasy NBA managers chase down statistics in weekly league formats. All the players listed below play 2 games in three nights between Friday and Sunday, giving you the best opportunity to maximize their statistical output.

Teams With Two Games

ATL, BOS, BKN, CHA, CHI, DAL, DEN, DET, GSW, HOU, IND, LAC, LAL, MEM, MIA, MIL, MIN, NOP, ORL, PHI, PHO, POR, SAC, SAS, TOR, UTA, WAS

Quinten Grimes, G/F – New York Knicks | 57% rostered

Best Stats: PTS, 3PM, STL

Grimes has scored 20+ points in five of his last seven games while hitting a staggering 4.9 three-pointers per contest.

Skylar Mays, G – Portland Trailblazers | 31% rostered

Best Stats: AST, 3PM, PTS

Mays has played 30+ minutes in his three games with the Blazers who are in full tank mode gunning for a top 5 lottery position. He’s averaging 17 points and 7.5 assists.

Obi Toppin, F – New York Knicks | 40% rostered

Best Stats: PTS, 3PM

In the absence of Julius Randle, Obi Toppin has been given the green light. Seeing a massive up-tick in minutes over his last two games, Obi hasn’t disappointed. Toppin dropped a combined 53 points and 8 threes in those two games.

Jevon Carter, G – M Milwaukee Bucks | 25% rostered

Best Stats: PTS, 3PM, AST

Milwaukee is locked in as the NBA’s number 1 seed, and with Khris Middleton and Giannis dealing with nagging injuries, and no reason to play Jrue Holiday Jevon Carter is likely to see massive usage this weekend. Joe Ingles and Goran Dragic are also great options.

Jabari Walker, F – Portland Trailblazers | 17% rostered

Best Stats: 3PM, REB, PTS

The rookie should see ample floor time in the final two games, maybe even a start. He’s hit nine threes in his last four games.

Peyton Watson, F – Denver Nuggets | 2% rostered

Best Stats: TBD

This is definitely a flyer, but Denver has locked up the number 1 seed in the west, and they’re likely to rest all of their starters their final two games, If not Watson, then guys like Thomas Bryant and even De’Andre Jordan would be prudent pick-ups leading into the weekend.

Alex Len, C – Sacramento Kings | 3% rostered

Best Stats: REB, PTS

I can’t imagine the Kings risking Sabonis in the final two games, Len is a quality rebounder and a solid double-double candidate given extended minutes. Len would likely make a better Sunday pick-up if the Grizzlies win Friday and Sacramento can only be the three-seed.

Davion Mitchell, G – Sacramento Kings |41% rostered

Best Stats: PTS, 3PM, AST

Sacramento still holds the tiebreaker with Memphis, but the Grizzlies would have to lose both games for the Kings to move up to the two spot. That being said, if that happens, Mitchell should get the start for Fox on Sunday. Again, Managers need to keep a keen eye after Friday’s games, about clinched seeding, and players resting.
