Fantasy Basketball Weekend Streamers: Jan 6-8

The NBA is rolling into Friday with 20 teams, two-thirds of the NBA playing two games in three nights. One thing that is mentioned throughout this series, but should be taken likely is how meaningful even nominal stat lines are for streamers. 9 points, 4 rebounds, and a steal may not look like much, but when managers accrue that twice per weekend versus once, it adds up. Don’t be so quick to discard potential pick-ups because their stats look meddling.

Fantasy Basketball Weekend Streamers

NBA Fantasy Streamers is a weekly article put out by Fantrax to help Fantasy NBA managers chase down statistics in weekly league formats. All the players listed below play 2 games in three nights between Friday and Sunday, giving you the best opportunity to maximize their statistical output.

Teams With Two Games

ATL, BKN, CHI, CHA, CLE, DAL, DET, IND, LAC, LAL, MIA, MIN, NOP, OKC, PHI, PHO, POR, SAS, TOR, UTA

Alec Burks, G/F – Detroit Pistons | 51% rostered

Best Stats: 3PM, PTS

Alec Burks has been turned into one of the Piston’s most consistent scoring options amid injuries. The veteran wing is averaging 18.6 points, 3 three-pointers made, and shooting nearly 45% from the floor over his last 6 games. With Cade Cunningham out for the season, and Marvin Bagley Jr set to miss extended time, Burks’ minutes and usage should only increase.

Victor Oladipo, G/F – Miami Heat | 68% rostered

Best Stats: PTS, AST, STL

Like I have suggested in many of these articles, don’t be fooled by his rostered percentage, Oladipo should be available in most standard leagues. Over his last three games, Oladiopo has been on a heater, averaging 16.7 points, 4.7 assists, and 1 steal. His numbers have been extremely inconsistent all season long, but his usage over the last 10 games has been high, seeing more than 30 minutes 6 times. This is undoubtedly a high-risk pick-up but it may be worth it to try to ride the wave.

Jalen McDaniels, F – Charlotte Hornets | 65% rostered

Best Sats: STL, REB, PTS

McDaniels in his third season has been a consistent contributor amidst the drama surrounding the absence of Miles Bridges. With career highs in nearly every major statistical category, McDaniels is a streaming option with very little boom or bust potential. But over a two-game span, he is very likely to bring in 20 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals.

Aaron Nesmith, F – Indiana Pacers | 42% rostered

Best Stats: PTS, 3PM

Essentially, copy/paste what was written about Jalen McDaniels. Nesmith’s best ability is availability, playing 25+ minutes in 6 of his last 10 contests. He also hit 15 threes and scored in double figures in eight of those ten games.

Nesmith is unlikely to wow any fantasy manager, but when it comes to chasing down stats at the end of the week a consistent contributor is about as safe a bet as you can make.

Dennis Schroder, G – Los Angeles Lakers | 42% rostered

Best Stats: PTS, AST, 3PM

At this point, Schroder should probably be retired from these lists. Nearly every week over the last 3 seasons he has qualified for it. After famously turning down a lucrative contract from the Lakers Schroder has fallen into relative obscurity. All of that being said, he is currently having a moment. Over his last 4 games, he’s scored 15 or more points 3 times, including a 32-point effort Wednesday night, to be noted, without Lebron.

Best Options for Rebounds

Kevin Love, F/C – Cleveland Cavaliers | 67% rostered

Mark Williams, C – Charlotte Hornets | 54% rostered

Kenrich Williams, F – Oklahoma City Thunder | 22% rostered
