Weekly Fantasy Basketball Rookie Report – Week 4: Stuffin’ the Stat Sheet

Week four is in the books. Fortunately, I have this as a basketball outlet, as the team I actively root for is having the worst start to the year that they have had in a five-year rebuild. The rookie class this year has been a whole bunch of fun, and if you love basketball you could not be happier. Through week four, we got guys like Chet Holmgren still shooting 50/40/90, guys like Keyonte George going off for double-digit assists in multiple games, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. stepping in to play a pivotal role for the Miami Heat when plagued with injuries. Truly, the rookie class is stuffing the fantasy basketball stat sheets. These young fellas need to eat, and they have saved room for dessert.

Weekly Fantasy Basketball Rookie Report – Stuffin’ the Stat Sheet

Let’s take a moment to appreciate some of the risers this week before getting into it. Although the New Orleans Pelicans are 7-7, they continue to select quality shooting wings like Trey Murphy and Jordan Hawkins.

The Utah Jazz seem to have an idea of what the point guard of the future in Keyonte George looks like.

If teams continue to have immediate success with rookies like this, it may start to bring into question whether or not it is worth it to stack up prospects more often, or “sell” veterans faster to acquire draft picks and capital. I certainly am.
