Week 8 Survivor Pool Picks: Run Raiders Run

Week 8 is here, and that means another round of survivor pool picks. We are just about midway through the season and picks are getting tough. This week we have a tough round of games to pick from, but don’t worry I have you covered for your Week 8 survivor pool picks.

Now, it’s time for me to go three for three on my survivor picks for Week 8.

Let’s get into it. All lines are taken from ESPN

Week 8 Survivor Pool Picks

Carolina Panthers @ (-4.5) Atlanta Falcons

Pick: Carolina Panthers

The Panthers look as if they are written off for the season. They traded away Robbie Anderson and Christian McCaffrey. Baker Mayfield is hurt and PJ Walker is the starting quarterback. However, I have the Panthers winning this week on the road. D.J. Moore is coming alive and the Panthers have a two-headed backfield in Chuba Hubbard and D’Onta Foreman.

The Falcons are tough against the run, but they have one of the worst pass defenses in the league. The Panthers are hot off a win against the Buccaneers and should blow out the Falcons this week.

Miami Dolphins (-3.5) @ Detroit Lions

Pick: Miami Dolphins

The Lions had a lot of good things going their way this year. But their defense is horrendous. The Dolphins finally have Tua Tagovailoa back and they look back to their elite selves. They have the run game down with Raheem Mostert and their passing game with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

This is an easy win for the Dolphins on the road. The only way the Dolphins lose is if Tagovailoa doesn’t play.

Las Vegas Raiders (-1.5) @ New Orleans Saints

Pick: Las Vegas Raiders

This will be the closest game of the week, but the Raiders are a lot better than what their record says. The Saints said that they will start Andy Dalton. Which is a win for the Raiders. In four weeks, Dalton is 1-4 as a starter. He has seven touchdowns and four interceptions. Four of those touchdowns came last week in a blowout loss to the Cardinals.

The Raiders look like they are finally getting their rhythm. They are still missing Darren Waller, but Josh Jacobs is taking over this offense. As well as smaller names stepping up such as Mack Hollins.

My Pick: Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders are one of the more difficult teams to choose when it comes to winning. But, this is the week to run with them. They are hot off a win against the Texans, where their defense showed up. They are sure to give Dalton problems this week and I expect another multi-touchdown game from Jacobs.
