Week 17 Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire

The Week 17 EPL Waiver Wire (under 50% rostered) offers several quality players with players with very low rostered percentages.

It’s time to start taking Aston Villa seriously. It was a gutsy win against Arsenal and they fully deserve their third-place spot. They beat Manchester City in the game before that. It’s difficult in the EPL to keep form like this, but one has to start paying attention.

Bournemouth is also turning heads. They have won four of five (and tied the other), including three away wins and two straight shutouts. That’s impressive. Liverpool sits atop the EPL table, not having lost since September 20th. At the opposite end of the table, Sheffield United won for the first time!

More injuries and suspensions are giving fantasy managers headaches but it also means there will be options for the week, as EPL managers have to rotate.

As always, focus on form and matchups for your EPL Waiver Wire choices. Picks for week 16 are listed below in order of most to least rostered in Fantrax.

Week 17 Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire

Timothy Castagne – Defender – 24% Rostered – Newcastle vs Fulham

Fulham has back-to-back 5-0 wins. That’s amazing, no matter the competition. Hopefully, you picked up Raul Jimenez per the previous post recommendation (he’s still only rostered in 51% of the leagues), but if not Castagne allows a way into a Fulham defense that is playing with confidence and is part of the thriving attack.

Jay Rodriguez – Defender – 10 % Rostered – Burnley vs Everton

Rodriguez assisted in Burnley’s goal against Brighton over the weekend. The forward has at least one shot of target over the last six games, with two goals over that time. If you’re looking for a forward on the EPL waiver wire, he’s certainly worth a look.

Neco Williams –Defender – 7% Rostered – Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham

Neco got his first start since August. He made the most of it as he assisted Forest’s single goal of the game. Neco likes to get forward and he has taken corner and set pieces when he’s playing consistently. This may not be the best matchup for Forest or Neco, but it could be worth a stash on your bench.

Marcos Senesi – Defender – 4% Rostered – Bournemouth vs Luton

Senesi has scored in two straight. One can’t expect this type of offensive production to continue, but it does mean that he is a big presence on set pieces. He’s also defending well and picking up points. They have secured two clean sheets on the road and will be further buoyed by their return home. Senesi and team host Luton, who have lost three in a row, and now find themselves in 18th. At only 4% rostered, he’s most likely available on the EPL waiver wire in your league.

Nathan Patterson– Defender – 2% Rostered – Burnley vs Everton

There are few options left to grab Everton players as they are streaking in the league. It’s three shutouts and wins in a row. Patterson entered last game as a substitute for the injured Ashley Young. This is contingent on Young and Coleman being injured. It’s a good matchup for Everton, as Burnley sit in 19th, with 12 losses on the season.

Week 17 kicks off with a Friday game between Nottingham Forest and Tottenham. Get your EPL waiver wire picks ready!
