Captain

Dak Prescott

DraftKings Captain Salary- $16,500

Just a hair cheaper than his number one weapon CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott represents the perfect selection for our captain slot. We’ve seen a different Dak Prescott since the Dallas Cowboys returned from their Week 7 bye. Prescott has scored at least 31 DK points in 4 out of his last 5 games, including a Week 10 41.9-point output against the New York Giants. In his last 3 games, Prescott has managed to throw for a ridiculous 10 touchdowns, as well as one rushing score. That’s eleven total touchdowns in just three weeks! Prescott is too hot to fade under any circumstance tonight. The only argument against playing him in the captain slot would be that this TNF game does feature a ton of studs that you’d love to jam into a lineup. Unfortunately, Dak’s (and CeeDee’s for that matter) price does get in the way of that. Fortunately for you, we’ve got some value options that should alleviate salary concerns.

Core Play

CeeDee Lamb

DraftKings Salary- $11,400

Stride for stride with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb has been on absolute fire since returning from the bye. Unlike Dak, CeeDee has eclipsed the 31-point mark in “just” 3 out of his last 5 games. However, he does have two games over 42 DK points in that same time span. The argument could certainly be made that Lamb has the higher ceiling, but Prescott has the luxury of being able to use his other weapons such as Brandin Cooks, Jake Ferguson, and even Tony Pollard, while Lamb is strictly reliant on the targets he gets from Dak. Well, that’s not entirely true, the Cowboys have been doing whatever it takes to get the ball into their best offensive player’s hands. That includes giving him carries. Since the bye Lamb has recorded a rushing attempt in all five games except for one. Lamb is Prescott’s favorite option, with all eyes on them on TNF, the dynamic duo should link up early and often in this matchup.

Value

Zach Charbonnet

DraftKings Salary- $6,800

The regular starting running back Kenneth Walker III (Doubtful) is not expected to play in tonight’s TNF matchup against the Cowboys. His oblique injury should pave the way for rookie running back Zach Charbonnet to record his second start of the season. It was tough sledding for Charbonnet last week against a very tough 49ers defense. He was only able to turn his 14 attempts into 47 rushing yards. On the plus side, Charbonnet stayed involved in the passing game. Zach Charbonnet has at least four receptions in each of his last three games, two of which Walker was active for. Third-string running back DeeJay Dallas does not represent much of a threat to Charbonnet’s workload. In Dallas’ first game as the backup he only recorded two carries for 10 yards, catching one ball for an additional five. Charbonnet should once again operate as the bell cow, staying on the field no matter the scenario. His $6,800 DK salary is a steal given his role.

Sleeper

Rico Dowdle

DraftKings Salary- $4,200

Tony Pollard is back! So it seems at least. While Pollard has had loud success, Rico Dowdle has been doing efficient work in the shadows. Really, he’s been involved in every game this season. However, this week, just like Week 10 represents the perfect opportunity for Dowdle to get some extra touches. Just last week, the 49ers were able to afford their backup running back, Elijah Mitchell 8 touches. The week before that, backup RB Darrell Henderson scored a TD on 10 total touches. Oh, and the week before that Antonio Gibson, the Commander’s number two RB scored a touchdown on nine touches. I can keep going. Keaton Mitchell the week before popped off for 138 yards and a TD. Even Kareem Hunt, outperformed Jerome Ford, when the Browns matched up against the Seahawks in Week 8. I can’t make this up. If this trend continues, Dowdle should be in for a productive TNF outing.

TNF Bust

Geno Smith

DraftKings Salary- $9,200

$9,200 is a lot of money, DK dollars or not, I am not comfortable coughing up that kind of salary for Geno Smith. Not this year’s Geno at least, and certainly not against this Cowboys DST. Geno Smith has just two games this season above 18 DK points, a number that I generally consider the minimum a quarterback can get and not completely tank your lineup. The daunting matchup is really what makes Smith a stay-away for me tonight. The Cowboys DST has recorded an interception in each of their last three games, while only allowing one passing touchdown in their last two games. Geno’s weapons may be able to rack up some fantasy points just based on receptions and such, but I’d be hard-pressed to recommend Smith as an option tonight, given his lack of output thus far. Unfortunately for Geno, this probably isn’t the week that everything turns around.
