Adam Duvall – OF Boston Red Sox

Be prepared.

Cody Bellinger – OF Chicago Cubs, Brad Boxberger – RP Chicago Cubs

For Bellinger, he can take place in batting practice alongside other offensive-related activities, while Boxberger can throw another BP session. It’s been determined that both will go on rehab assignments when their time here is done.

Eloy Jimenez – OF Chicago White Sox

Yet again, Jimenez hurts himself in a game and cannot stay healthy. This time it was after hitting a ground ball and he ran gingerly to first. His power and talent are undeniable, but so is his inability to remain healthy. Consider him DTD for now until we have more details.

Graham Ashcraft – SP Cincinnati Reds

Ashcraft looks like he’ll be ready to make his next start, even if it’s pushed back a day. The bad news for fantasy owners everywhere could be that he’s able to make his next start. He has struggled mightily since his initial surge to begin the season.

C.J. Cron – 1B Colorado Rockies

Cron last played a game on May 14, and it’s nearing a month of inactivity. With no timetable for a return, it might be time for Cron to consider alternate options for healing, which can include surgery. While that might be getting ahead of the situation, it’s starting to become ominous.

Yordan Alvarez – OF Houston Astros

The implication is that Alvarez will be out of the lineup for some amount of time. Whether that means this weekend, ten days, or more, the Astros will be without their best offensive weapon. He allegedly tweaked it during BP before the game on the last pitch that he saw. During the game, he re-aggravated the oblique and was forced to leave the game. Stay tuned as there is more to the story.

Michael Brantley – OF Houston Astros

Brantley is once again starting from scratch as he works himself into the Astros’ lineup. He has a long way to go before playing in a game, but he’s at least completing the preliminary steps.

Lance McCullers Jr. – SP Houston Astros

Uh oh, this isn’t great news. McCullers had worked his way up to throwing from a mound but has since gradually been getting worse. Now, with a setback like this, his original timeline of the All-Star Break seems like it’s no longer in play.

Hunter Renfroe – OF Los Angeles Angels

Be prepared.

Dustin May – SP Los Angeles Dodgers

It’s probably safe to say that May won’t return by the end of the 60-day window of July 17. He has yet to pick up a baseball and has a lot of work to do once he does. Consider his return at all this season tenuous.

Noah Syndergaard – SP Los Angeles Dodgers

Additionally, the team flew Syndergaard out to Los Angeles to take care of things mentally and essentially start his season over again from scratch.

Jorge Polanco – 2B Minnesota Twins

While that does seem optimistic, this is an injury that just won’t go away. One has to wonder if the Twins will put Polanco in as their DH now that Buxton is out in an effort to limit his movement. Consider him DTD for now with the possibility of him returning to the Injured List.

Pete Alonso – 1B New York Mets

And so the waiting game with Alonso begins. Until we know the results of these tests, we won’t know if this is a pain tolerance, a week-by-week thing, or something more. Stay tuned.

Nestor Cortes – SP New York Yankees

As planned. Cortes will be shut down from throwing for around two weeks. Once that period is over, he will be re-evaluated. It’s then that his return date can be speculated upon. Until then, he’s just resting.

Mason Miller – SP Oakland Athletics

This is good news,m as Miller is once again throwing a baseball. There is no word on where is progress-wise, but it’s likely at the beginning stages as he ramps himself up toward throwing from long distances. The team would be wise to take their time with his return as he is a part of their long-term plans.

Alec Bohm – INF Philadelphia Phillies, Jose Alvarado – RP Philadelphia Phillies

Be prepared for both.

Patrick Bailey – C San Francisco Giants

Consider Bailey DTD with the hopes of being able to play soon.

Yandy Diaz – INF Tampa Bay Rays

Consider him DTD with the hopes of returning later today. Diaz has missed two games in a row now.

Kevin Kiermaier – OF Toronto Blue Jays

The good news is that the X-rays did not reveal a fracture. Expect Kiermaier to miss part or all of this weekend’s action as a result of this.

Victor Robles – OF Washington Nationals

Robles looks to be getting close to a return.
