Fantasy Hockey Week 24 Goalie Streams – 03/25/24

There are some solid goalie options you can add to your fantasy team in week 24 of the 2023-24 NHL season. Whether you need goaltenders for this week or potentially longer, we’ll cover the best ones to pick up. When looking for goalies to stream in fantasy hockey, it’s best to look at back-to-backs, if there are injuries to starters, or if a starter is struggling. This is a look at the three best goalie streams in Week 24 of the fantasy hockey season.

Fantasy Hockey Week 24 Goalie Streams

Casey DeSmith, Vancouver Canucks

Thatcher Demko is still considered week-to-week, so that means Casey DeSmith gets full-time duties as the starter for the top team in the league. He has won three games in a row and allowed just five goals in those starts. This is a post-trade deadline bolstered roster for the Vancouver Canucks, so they will have a good chance to win every single night.

DeSmith has been solid this season and his overall numbers are negatively impacted by just a couple of really bad games. In total, he has been reliable as almost any backup in the NHL this season. The Canucks don’t have a particularly easy schedule, playing the Los Angeles Kings, Dallas Stars, and Anaheim Ducks, but DeSmith should get the start in all three of them since they are spread out nicely this week.

Justus Annunen, Colorado Avalanche

Justus Annunen has been great when called upon this season. While he came into the season as the fourth-string goalie with just four games of NHL experience, he has put that to bed with a .926 SV% in eight starts, going 5-2-1. Since Alexandre Georgiev hasn’t been nearly at the level he was last season, it has benefited the Colorado Avalanche to get Annunen a start each week and give some rest to the starter.

Annunen has won four games in a row, allowing just five goals and recording back-to-back shutouts. The Avalanche play three times this week against the Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, and Nashville Predators. Since the Canadiens are the lowest threat and Annunen last started on March 19, I would bet he gets the start there and a likely win since Colorado is very hot right now.

Kevin Lankinen, Nashville Predators

No team is playing better than the Nashville Predators right now. The team just extended their point streak to 17 games, the longest by any team in the NHL this season, and Kevin Lankinen has been a part of it. Juuse Saros, the starter in Nashville, has started 13 of the 17 games and is 11-0-2, but Lankinen is 4-0-0 with a shutout.

With how well both goaltenders are playing, the Predators won’t want to overwork Saros heading into the playoffs, so Lankinen should be locked into a start a week or every 4-5 games. The Predators play the Vegas Golden Knights, Arizona Coyotes, and Avalanche. It is likely that Saros will start against the two playoff teams that are more important games and Lankinen should get the crease for the Coyotes, giving him a better matchup to extend his win streak.

Make sure to take advantage of these goalies for this week. The longer you wait, the more of a chance someone you may want is picked up before you get to them. There are early games that you will want to take advantage of as well. While a couple of these goaltenders should get at least one start this week, be sure to keep an eye on any other options throughout the week that may become solid options as well.
