Fantasy Hockey Week 10 Waiver Wire Forwards – 12/12/23

The waiver wire is a great place to find hidden gems that will help your fantasy hockey team in the short term and sometimes the long term as well. You have likely already taken advantage of this through the first nine weeks of the season. Regardless, there should still be strong options on the waiver wire at forward that we will look at. Even if it is only for a few games, these players are worth adding to help your team out. This is the place where you can find good options to take advantage of before anyone else in your league does.

Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Forwards to Consider for Week 10

Mikael Granlund, San Jose Sharks

If you haven’t added Mikael Granlund to your fantasy hockey team, you have either been slacking or don’t have the space. He has been red hot as of late and is showing no signs of slowing down yet as the San Jose Sharks continue to score. He will be out there late in the game trying to score the tying goals, and this team has scored four goals with the goalie pulled in the past three games.

Granlund may not be a scorer, but he has outperformed expectations as an assist man. He is up to three goals and 15 assists in 21 games and has a very impressive five-game point streak where he has recorded two goals and 11 points. It’s hit or miss whether he will shoot a lot, make hits, and block shots, but he does all three. Only a small bit of his production comes on the power play, but with the points he’s putting up, that’s not a big worry.

Anthony Cirelli, Tampa Bay Lightning

For being a top-six player on the high-scoring Tampa Bay Lightning, Anthony Cirelli hasn’t gotten a lot of attention. He is great in his own end, but that doesn’t do much in many fantasy leagues. On the offensive side of the puck, he can be effective. This is what he has shown over the past four games to get him more fantasy attention.

Cirelli has seven goals and 15 points in 28 games on the season. Over the past four games, has four goals, six points, six penalty minutes, one point on the power play, at least three shots in each game, and an impressive 10 blocked shots. He hit a bit more earlier in the season but is capable. While Cirelli is hot in all aspects of the game, jump on the chance to add him. As long as he’s playing with top players, he’ll be a threat to produce offensively like he is right now.

Mason Marchment, Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars are a top team this season and have gotten contributions from throughout their lineup. Recently, it has been Mason Marchment who is chipping in a good deal offensively, and that is great for fantasy hockey owners. After a slower start for all three of Marchment, Matt Duchene, and Tyler Seguin, they have found chemistry and are playing a big part in the success and offense of the team.

Marchement has points in five of his last seven games, scoring five goals and eight points over that span of games. Though he hasn’t very often, he can chip in on the power play. The winger will provide consistent shots and hits with a decent chance at blocking a shot a game. I wouldn’t necessarily consider Marchment a long-term option, but I wouldn’t count that possibility out either. He has been a very effective fantasy hockey asset in the past.
