Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds: Week 21

There is less than a month left of Fantasy Basketball. This means there are just three more Waiver Wire articles before the off-season kicks off. I hope these articles helped you gain an edge against league members and have helped you gain a step closer to capturing a Fantasy Basketball championship.

Last week saw players such as Isaac Okoro and Dalano Banton. Okoro has stayed at his average, but Banton continues to put up big numbers. He had another 40-plus fantasy performance in his last game against the New Orleans Pelicans. With back-to-back games seeing over 40 minutes, keep Banton on your squad as he very well could be a “league winner”. This week’s Waiver Wire add features two guards and one forward. One of the guards made an appearance earlier in the season. This time, he has a real shot to help you win your league. The other two are rostered in under 60% of Fantrax leagues.

NBA Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds

Ayo Dosunmu, G/F – Chicago Bulls (74% rostered)

With young players, the main thing coaches want to see is improvement in the things they have been lacking. For Ayo Dosunmu it has been his scoring. He has stepped up in a major way in his third NBA season. He is averaging double-digit ppg for the first time in his career. Also, he has shot the ball much better from three-point range. Dosunmu might not be the ideal guy you think of when it comes to a roster spot on your fantasy team, but the Chicago Bulls are depleted. Zach Lavine, Lonzo Ball (before the season), and Patrick Williams have all been shut down. This means the production and the minutes have to go elsewhere besides DeMar DeRozan. Dosunmu has seen 24 or more fantasy points in nine of his last ten games. His last game saw 52.25 fantasy points with 34 points, three rebounds, and nine assists.

Being rostered in 74% of Fantrax leagues is somewhat high, but take a look at the Waiver Wire and gain some much-needed help for your fantasy team in the most crucial part of the season.

Vasilije Micic, G – Charlotte Hornets ( 56% rostered)

If I told you I knew who this was, I’d be a liar. Researching is key in fantasy leagues and by researching is how I found this sleeper. Vasilije Micic has taken over the starting point guard duties as the Charlotte Hornets will be in Cancun within a month. LaMelo Ball is done for the year, too. He has seen 28 or more minutes in playing time in the last nine games. He has been consistent with his numbers as well seeing 23 or more fantasy points in seven of the last ten games.

With averages of 16.6 ppg, 5.9 assists per game, and 3 rebounds per game, this has league winner written all over it. The Hornets are a franchise where little winning takes place, but stats will still be produced. Micic has filled in nicely and has even had two 20-plus point games in two of his last three games. At being rostered in just 56% of Fantrax leagues, drop that bench player you just cannot seem to let go of for Vasilije Micic.

Simone Fontecchio, F – Utah Jazz (59% rostered)

Simone Fontecchio has found himself a home in the Detroit Pistons. He has averaged 16 ppg on 47.8% from the field and 44.9% from three-point land. In his last ten games, Fontecchio has scored 30 or more fantasy points. He has achieved this in his last five games where he had 30 or more fantasy points in four of those. Sleepers cannot carry teams, but they can help you win fantasy championships. Fontecchio is also seeing a healthy dosage of playing time. He has averaged 31.5 minutes per game since March started. At just 59% rostered across Fantrax leagues, add a sniper off the Waiver Wire such as Fontecchio on to your fantasy basketball teams for the home stretch.
