Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds: Week 14

The Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire did us good last week with players like Alec Burks who exploded for 52 fantasy points this past week. If you added him to your leagues, that was a good night for fantasy managers. Christian Wood and Moritz Wagner did not produce as well as I wanted them to do and they are droppable in leagues. Now, we have three brand-new players who have never made the Waiver Wire to grace us this week.

NBA Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds

Marvin Bagley, F/C – Washington Wizards (70% rostered)

Sadly, people will always remember Marvin Bagley for being the guy that went before Luka Doncic. Marvin Bagley is averaging 24.4 fantasy ppg this season and is making the best of his NBA career. Bagley, in the past week, has averaged 54 fantasy ppg. Although it was just three games in the past week, seeing Bagley produce at high levels is promising for the once-second-overall pick of his class. Bagley had one of the best games of his career vs the New York Knicks with 60.5 fantasy points on 62% shooting and achieved a double-double. What intrigues me most about Bagley is that in the last game for the Wizards, they moved him back to the second unit.

Despite that and seeing just 17 minutes of playing time, Bagley delivered a 31-point fantasy outing. Marvin Bagley deserves to be rostered in all formats as he is the best “big man” on the team. All in all, Daniel Gafford is not as skilled as Bagley offensively and the Wizards should end up seeing that and giving more usage to him. Marvin Bagley is my favorite Waiver Wire add this week. A skilled offensive big, finally healthy on a team looking to sell at the deadline. Go add Marvin Bagley or trade for him NOW.

Georges Niang, F – Cleveland Cavilers (22% rostered)

Fantasy Basketball is all about following trends and the “hot hand”. Sometimes the guys you least expect are the ones that get you crucial wins that will matter for seeding when that time comes. Georges Niang, the Forward from the Cleveland Cavilers has played excellent in the past week. He has nearly doubled his fantasy ppg average in the last week. He has also averaged 25.91 fantasy ppg in the past month. That is 9.81 ppg more than his season average. Niang has seen 44.5 and 28 fantasy points in his last two games. Although he shot 92% from the field in his 44.5 fantasy night, it was nice to see him still have a great game the following time he played. Players like this go through hot and cold streaks all season long. Georges Niang is currently on fire this past month. At just 22% rostered in Fantrax leagues, Niang is likely available in your league and should be added.

Ayo Dosunmu, G – Chicago Bulls (38% rostered)

First of all, Zach Lavine is set to miss the next two weeks with a sprained ankle. Therefore, this is Ayo Dosunmu’s time to show the Chicago Bulls franchise that he is a part of their rebuild. The Bulls more than likely will be trading their star players when the trade deadline comes around. With that being said, Ayo Dosunmu is just 24 years old and has picked up his production in the past month. At just 18.2 fantasy ppg, Dosunmu has increased that to 27.86 the past month and 31.33 the past week. These next two weeks will show how the Bulls view Dosunmu for their future plans. Dosunmu’s latest game featured 42 fantasy points with 20 points, four assists, and six rebounds.
