Gameweek 7 Waiver Wire Targets

Here we outline Fantasy EPL Gameweek 7 Waiver Wire Targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax.

Liam Cooper

Position: Defender

Team: Leeds

Rostered: 15%

Next Fixture: Nottingham Forest (Home)

Prospects: It looks like Cooper is finally back healthy for the weekend and God do they need him. After shipping 5 against Brentford, Leeds need to get some sort of semblance of solidity in their back line and Cooper will help with that. Nottingham Forest is the perfect game to try to stop the rot at the back so I would not hesitate to run Cooper out. If he is for some reason not there, you will be able to find a replacement on the go.

Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3 FAB to get him.

Morgan Gibbs-White

Position: Midfielder

Team: Nottingham Forest

Rostered: 38%

Next Fixture: Leeds (Away)

Prospects: The young Englishman was impressive for Wolves before and was always touted as a great talent. Now he has the platform to realise his potential. He is the crown jewel of Forest’s spending spree and is most likely to nail down a starting spot. He takes set pieces and is involved in every attack. Don’t be fooled by Forest’s relegation fighting woes. MGW will be an asset all year.

Verdict: I would use a mid-level waiver claim or 20-25 FAB to get him.

Neal Maupay

Position: Forward

Team: Everton

Ownership: 24%

Next Fixture: Arsenal (Away)

Prospects: Never thought it would come to this. Maupay recommend for a pickup. But his 10 ghost points in the Merseyside derby left me no choice. With DCL closer to a return, this might be a short term pickup, but he seems to suit the system and if he continues to produce ghost points and could add goals or assist, he might even become a legitimate FWD3.

Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 1-5 FAB to get him.
