Bold Predictions for Week 14 Fantasy Football

Last week, our Fantrax fantasy football contributors fell short of bold predictions for players like Tyjae Spears and Brevin Jordan, though each had respectable stat lines. We’ll look for to hit big in Week 14 to end the fantasy football regular season! These bold predictions won’t always have a 100% success rate, but should at least help sway decision-making for your dynasty, redraft, or even DFS lineups.

2023 NFL Week 14 Bold Predictions for Fantasy Football

Brandin Cooks, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Bold Prediction: 6 receptions, 75 yards, 1 touchdown

19.5 fantasy points

Fantrax Writer: Colin McTamany, @Colin_McT

Colin’s Breakdown: If you need a Week 14 to get into your league’s fantasy football playoffs, investing in the Dallas Cowboys is a wise decision. Their offense leads the league with 32.3 points scored per game. Dak Prescott is in the MVP conversation with 20 passing touchdowns in the team’s last six games. Brandin Cooks has caught four of those touchdowns, one in four of the six games.

Cooks and the Cowboys pass attack will be on full display this Sunday night as they host the Philadelphia Eagles. If last week’s assault by the San Francisco 49ers receivers against the Eagles’ secondary isn’t convincing enough to play a guy like Cooks, I don’t know what will be. Additionally, the Eagles are allowing the most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this entire season.

Six receptions would be Cooks’ second-highest total in a game this season. He could reach 19.5 fantasy points on half the amount of receptions as I’m factoring in a big scoring play from Cooks into this Week 14 bold prediction.

Dameon Pierce, RB, Houston Texans

Bold Prediction: 95 yards, 2 touchdowns

21.5 fantasy points

Fantrax Writer: Ray Kuhn, @Ray_Kuhn_28

Ray’s Breakdown: Due mostly to injury, but also some poor performances, Dameon Pierce temporarily lost his role atop the Houston backfield. Last week, though, he seemed to regain the majority of his workload as he carried the ball 15 times. In every game except one, Pierce has double-digit carries this season. The problem though, is that Pierce hasn’t gained more than 81 yards in a game or averaged more than 3.5 yards per carry.

Despite having a strong passing game led by rookie quarterback, C.J. Stroud, Pierce only has two touchdowns on the season. That includes the one last week. In Week 14, that should change as the New York Jets continue to play out the string in what has been a dreadful season.

Game flow should work in the favor of Pierce and the Houston running attack in Week 14. The Jets are likely unable to generate offense which means the Texans should be left controlling the clock. Therefore, Pierce will be in position to succeed. At 136.1 yards per game, the Jets are allowing the fifth-most rushing yards in the league this season. My bold prediction is that Pierce will be the latest to capitalize, leading the Texans’ backfield.

Isaiah Likely, TE, Baltimore Ravens

Bold Prediction: 5 receptions, 60 yards, 1 touchdown

17.0 fantasy points

Fantrax Writer: Colin McTamany, @Colin_McT

Colin’s Breakdown: I’m back with yet another Isaiah Likely bold prediction. In Week 12, before his bye, my bold prediction was a 5/65/1 stat line for Likely. He failed to find the end zone but caught four of his six targets for 45 yards. Not bad! His six targets in that game account for 20% of the Ravens’ targets, second-most on the team.

As the Ravens return to action, at home, in Week 14, Isaiah Likely is in a position to succeed again. The Los Angeles Rams come to town. They’re one of seven teams to allow six or more touchdowns to tight ends this season. In fact, the Rams are allowing the third-most fantasy points to the position.

If Likely’s role in Week 14 is anything like his role in Week 12, I think he has a similar stat line, but I’m even more confident in the touchdown this time around. The tight end position is hard to trust week-to-week in fantasy football. Especially with a rising stud like Trey McBride on bye, or if you have Likely in the wake of Mark Andrews’ injury, I think you should plug him into your Week 14 lineup.
