Fantasy Basketball Weekend Streamers: Feb. 11-13

With the NBA trade deadline officially behind us, there are a ton of players headed to new places for the final two months of the season. Long term, these moves will make major waves across the fantasy landscape, but there are immediate impacts from these deals as well. Most significantly, these moves will have a major effect on the weekend slate of games, as several players will be unavailable as they travel and make their way to their new teams. As a result, the list of top weekend streamers is a bit smaller than usual, as so many players might not be ready to suit up in time to play two games this weekend. So let’s dig deep to find some of the best streaming options over these next three days who, as always, must be ready to play two games between now and the end of Sunday.

What?! You’re not hosting your fantasy basketball league on Fantrax? Inconceivable! Check out all the features of Fantrax Fantasy Basketball Commissioner and we’re pretty sure you’ll come around to our way of thinking.

Weekend Streamers

Devin Vassell, SG/SF, San Antonio Spurs

Best Categories: 3PM, PTS, STL

With the decision to trade Derrick White to the Celtics for Josh Richardson, the Spurs have made it clear that they are going to prioritize the development of Devin Vassell as they finish out the season. The 21-year-old has been playing some great basketball of late, scoring in double figures in 14 out of 18 games since the calendar flipped to 2022, knocking down multiple threes in 11 of them. On top of that, his defense has started to show as well, collecting 2 steals in four straight contests. Now with White gone and Richardson not likely to be ready to suit up in time, even more minutes and opportunity will be available to him this weekend. With back-to-back games against the Hawks and Hornets tonight and tomorrow night, Vassell makes for an elite option for both this weekend and beyond.

Aleksej Pokusevski, SF/PF/C, Oklahoma City Thunder

Best Categories: 3PM, PTS, STL, BLK

The Oklahoma City Thunder are in a clear rebuild mode over the season’s final two months, meaning Aleksej Pokusevski looks poised to finally get some serious run down the stretch. Poku has averaged 28 minutes over his last two games, and he played better than anyone could have expected. The 20-year-old averaged 15 points and 6.5 boards, tallying a total of 6 threes, 4 steals, and 2 blocks, as he shot a terrific 67% from the floor. Now with games against a short-handed 76ers team who just traded away several players in a blockbuster deal with the Nets and a fast-paced Bulls team, Poku should once again see a lot of minutes and opportunity to add onto these two strong performances. With a unique skill set and the ability to contribute across every category, Poku presents an excellent streaming option over these next few days.

Goga Bitadze, C, Indiana Pacers

Best Categories: PTS, REB, BLK

After missing four games with a foot injury, Goga Bitadze is back and has a clear path to minutes with the Pacers trading away Domantas Sabonis before the deadline. Bitadze scored 14 points with 2 steals, 3 blocks, and 2 triples in 30 minutes against the Hawks, and these numbers are nothing out of the ordinary for the young big man. The former first-round pick is more than capable of providing traditional big man stats, while also chipping in some threes, making him a nice weapon in fantasy. And with the Pacers extremely limited in size on the roster, Bitadze should have all the opportunity in the world to make his impact in the box score. Especially with games this weekend against the Cavaliers and Timberwolves, who both have strong big men, Goga will be needed this weekend and should see as many minutes as he can handle. He, therefore, makes for a great streaming option this weekend, with the potential to keep contributing beyond these three days as well.

Darius Bazley, SF/PF, Oklahoma City Thunder

Best Categories: 3PM, PTS, REB, STL

Basically, everything that was said about Pokusevski above can be said about Darius Bazley too. The young forward looks to be a major part of the Thunder’s future, meaning he is going to see as many minutes as he can handle moving forward. And this weekend, those minutes will come against the 76ers and Bulls who, as stated above, offer some nice streaming appeal for teams going against them in the upcoming days. The only real difference between Bazley and Poku is that Bazley has already proven himself, and he presents a much higher floor this weekend for anyone looking for guaranteed solid production. Bazley has scored 13 or more points in six of his last seven games while tallying 7 or more rebounds in four of his last five. He has knocked down a triple in eight straight games, with multiple threes coming in half of those games. And he’s also recorded 8 steals and 4 blocks in his last five games, providing impressive across-the-board production for fantasy purposes. As a result, Bazley makes for an elite streaming option this weekend if he is still available in your league.

Malik Beasley, PG/SG, Minnesota Timberwolves

Best Categories: 3PM, PTS

For anyone in need of a three-point specialist this weekend, Malik Beasley is a very intriguing option who has been lighting it up from beyond the arc over the past two weeks, despite averaging minutes in the low 20s. Beasley has knocked down 4 or more threes in five of his last seven games, averaging a solid 15.9 points per game in that span. The 25-year-old can’t be counted on to do a whole lot outside of those two categories, but there is no doubt that he is going to launch threes when he is in the game, and a pair of games against the Bulls and Pacers will likely present more than a few open looks from downtown this weekend. Overall, he’s not the best streaming option in the world, but he’s a strong choice for anyone in need of a sharpshooter in the coming days.
