Let’s plunge into the world of Money Makers and Heart Breakers. I’ll will help you navigate the treacherous waters of the Week 6 NFL DFS Main Slate. And don’t forget, you can also use these insights as sit/start advice for your weekly lineups. Time to dominate!
Here is a brief definition of each of my terms for anyone that might be new:

Quarterback
Kirk Cousins – Cousins has lost his top target due to injury. Losing Justin Jefferson will hurt Cousins almost as much as it did your fantasy team. But I am here to tell you all is not lost. Cousins has multiple touchdown passes in every game this season. He will keep that streak rolling against the Bears in Week 6. Why you ask? Because the Bears give up the most fantasy points to the quarterback position. The Bears have given up 12 touchdowns on the season to quarterbacks Every quarterback to play them has either had multiple touchdowns or a 300-yard game. Cousins is a great play that others may avoid because he is missing his top target. SKOL!

Matthew Stafford – Stafford has his favorite breakfast partner and target back in Cooper Kupp. Which helped open up the field for his other wide receivers to get touchdowns in Week 5. This game has a relatively high over-under of 48.5 points so there should be some scoring by both teams. To top that off the Rams are playing the Cardinals. The Cardinals are the third friendliest team to quarterbacks in fantasy giving up an average of 276 yards and 1.6 touchdowns per game to quarterbacks. I like the Rams passing game in Week 6.

Justin Fields – The Vikings are a bottom-10 team at defending quarterbacks. If there is one thing we can say about Fields this season is in a good matchup he has produced exceptionally well. In the last two weeks, he got to play bottom 10 defenses against quarterbacks and produced big time. In Week 4 he had 335 yards and 4 touchdowns against the Broncos and in Week 5 Fields produced 282 yards and another 4 touchdowns against the Commanders. We might not see another 4 touchdown game but Justin should be passing the ball all over the Fields against the Vikings.

Running Backs
Raheem Mostert – The Dolphins play the Panthers in Week 6. In 4 out of 5 games this season the Panthers have given up 2 touchdowns to the running back position. They are a close second to being as bad as the Broncos against running backs. Mostert has had a blistering start to the season, even with splitting some time with De’von Achane (who is now on injured reserve). Mostert has 8 touchdowns this season. He can do it running or catching the ball. Mostert is going to run, Mostert is going to catch and Mostert is going to score touchdowns in Week 6.

Alvin Kamara – Kamara has been back for two games. He has 14.9 fantasy points against the Buccaneers in Week 4 and 17.2 Fantasy Points against the Patriots in Week 5. He is getting some great volume with over 20 touches in each game. The Colts are up next and they give up on average 89 yards and a touchdown rushing and another 5 receptions and 36 yards receiving. It is another Kamara day.

Alexander Mattison – Mattison has double-digit fantasy scores in each of the last three weeks. He only has one touchdown over that time period so he has been getting touches and yards. In Week 6 he gets to play against the team that gives up the third most fantasy points to the running back position, the Bears. Mattison should see more targets than usual with Justin Jefferson out and the volume should be there for him to score in the double digits again in Week 6.

Wide Receivers
Ja’Marr Chase – Two things are what we need to mention here to sell you on playing Ja’Marr Chase. 1. Joe Burrow looks healthy again. 2. The Seahawks are bad at defending wide receivers. The Seahawks give up the third most fantasy points to opposing teams’ wide receivers. How good is Chase? Well, he has 31.7% target share of the Bengals pass attempts. Chase has 39.9% of the Bengals air yards. He is the Bengals passing game. Man Week 6 looks fantastic for Ja’Marr Chase.

Garrett Wilson – The Jets passing game is meh. It’s not fantastic. But Garrett Wilson is fantastic. Wilson has 31.4% of the targets and a whopping 44.2% of the air yards. Imagine if Zach Wilson was any good. The Eagles are also very bad at defending wide receivers. 10 different wide receivers have had double-digit fantasy scores against the Eagles’ defense this season. That is 2 every single week. They give up the second most points to wide receivers in fantasy.

Jordan Addison – The Bears give up the eleventh most fantasy points to wide receivers. He is the number 1 option right now for the Vikings in the passing game. Right now Addison has 3 touchdowns on the season and 3 times reaching double-digit fantasy scores. He is currently third on the team in target share with 14.5%. You can expect him and TJ Hockenson to be targeted heavily moving forward with Justin Jefferson on IR.

Tight Ends
Dallas Goedert – This is more about the Jets giving up most fantasy points to tight ends than it is about Goedert. Not that he is bad. Goedert is very good. The Eagles’ passing tree has a lot of branches and Goedert is one of them. In Week 5 he saw 9 targets which he turned into 8 receptions 117 yards and a touchdown. Now he gets the best match-up he could imagine.

Logan Thomas – Eric Beiniemy took over as the Commanders’ offensive coordinator this season. He is running a playbook similar to what he did in Kansas City, which is good news for Thomas, as this utilizes the tight end quite a bit. Thomas is coming off a game in which he had 11 targets, 9 receptions, 77 yards, and a touchdown in Week 5. The matchup is even better in Week 6. The Commanders get to play the Falcons, and the Falcons give up the second most fantasy points to opposing teams’ tight ends. Tight ends average 9 targets, 7 receptions, and 62 yards against the Falcons. It will be a good week for Thomas.

Cade Otton – This is a shot in the dark. The Lions do not defend the tight end position well. Otton had a touchdown in Week 4. He is the third option in the Buccaneers passing game. That gives him roughly a 12% target share. So he is breathing and he is involved against a bad defense. He has a chance.

Defense
Raiders – The Raiders play the Patriots in Week. In Week 4 the Cowboys Defense pounded the Patriots to get 27 fantasy points and in Week 5 the Saints defense scored 24 fantasy points against the Patriots. The Patriots have given up 4 touchdowns to defenses this season. The Raiders defense had it best outing of the season on Monday night against the Packers. They should do well against the horrible offensive line the Patriots have. Look for another 2 sacks and a takeaway or two of some sort in Week 6

49ers – The Niners have a very good defense. The Browns give up the third most fantasy points to opposing teams’ defenses. To top it off Deshaun Watson might not play. Teams average 4 sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery against the Browns. The Niners should be filling up on defensive stats in Week 6.

Vikings – The Bears do a lot of things wrong. Week 5 was the first game this season that a defense did not score double-digit fantasy points against the Bears. So there is a first time for everything. I am not going to pretend the Vikings’ defense is good. It is not good. Somehow the Denver defense scored 13 fantasy points against the Bears and they are pathetic. The Vikings can get after the quarterback as they have 13 sacks on the season. Look for them to get some sacks an interception and a fumble recovery in Week 6.

💔Heart Breakers
Quarter Backs
Brock Purdy – I love Brock Purdy. I want to start with that. But the Browns are the third toughest defense against the pass. Teams only average 148 yards passing against the Browns. That defense is legit good in real-life football. I also don’t think he will need to do a lot of passing for the Niners to win this game. I would avoid him in DFS.
Deshaun Watson – Same game and another really good defense. The Niners give up the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing teams’ quarterbacks. If you are thinking that Watson might not play would this apply to his backup? The answer is yes. If Dorian Thompson-Robinson is starting I will plug that Niners defense in every DFS lineup I can.
Jimmy Garoppolo – The Patriots are good against quarterbacks. They give up the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing teams’ quarterbacks. Not that you were in a big hurry to get Jimmy G into a lineup. Jimmy only has one game with 20 or more fantasy points this season. Quarterbacks also only average 13 fantasy points a game against the Pats. Easy guy to avoid. Sometimes the choice is easy.
Running Backs
Breece Hall – Breece Hall is coming off his best game of the season. He had 177 yards and a touchdown in Week 5. How can I possibly have him as a Heartbreaker in Week 6? He is rolling, right? Well, matchups matter. Last week he played the team that gives up the most fantasy points to running backs. This week he plays the team that gives up the least amount of fantasy points to running backs, the Eagles. No one has rushed for more than 53 yards against the Eagles and the Eagles have only given up one rushing touchdown. You do not run against the Eagles defense, you pass against it. This week simply pass on Breece Hall too.
Rachaad White – There is a lot of talk this year about the Lions offense. It’s good, the Lions defense isn’t so bad either. The Lions defense gives up the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing teams’ running backs. White is getting a lot of touches but facing really rough defenses this season. Only Kenneth Walker has scored rushing touchdowns against the Lions and no one has hit the 50 yards rushing mark against this Lions defense. Yuck.
Brian Robinson – The Commanders play the Falcons in Week 6. The Falcons defense has not had a running back score double-digit fantasy points against them this season. That’s right after 5 weeks of play no one has done it. Robinson is good. Robinson is someone I would still be playing in season-long formats. I would not be playing him in DFS.
Wide Receivers
Brandon Aiyuk – I have mentioned already how tough the Browns defense is against the pass. The Browns defense is the toughest against wide receivers. The Niners will most likely win this game with running the ball and defense. You won’t see the volume you need for Aiyuk.
Chris Olave – The Saints are playing the Texans in Week 6. The Texans don’t give up a lot of fantasy points to wide receivers. Not a single wide receiver has scored more than 13 points against the Texans and only 3 wide receivers have scored in double-digits. But that’s not all, it gets worse. In the past two weeks Olave has seen 11 targets. That doesn’t seem so bad, does it? But he only has 3 receptions for 16 total yards and a touchdown. Stay away from Olave (If you pronounce his name properly that rhymes).
Marquise Brown – Marquise Brown has been consistently good this season. The Rams are up next and are actually good against wide receivers. When the Rams give up points to wide receivers its always the primary wide receiver and not the secondary guy. So, there is hope here as Brown is the main guy in Arizona. I think they clamp down on him this week.
Tight Ends
Chigoziem Okonkwo – Everyone loves to get Chiggy with it. He had 9 targets in Week 5 and people are all excited because there simply aren’t many tight ends to get excited over. Rereading that last sentence it just sounds perverted. Anyways, the Titans play the Ravens in Week 6. The Ravens are the stingiest defense there is against tight ends this season. So if you were excited over this tight end, go take a cold shower as nothing is happening. Seriously he isn’t even a floor play. See what I did there?
Dalton Schultz – In the past two weeks Schultz has scored a touchdown in each game. He plays in an offense that is throwing the ball all over the place. But this week they play the Saints. The Saints bring the second-toughest defense against tight ends to the table. No tight end has topped 8 points against the Saints and Cade Otton needed a touchdown to get that. As Sargent Schultz would say “I see nothing” as there is nothing to see here this week
