Miami Continues Selloff, Sends Christian Yelich to Brewers

The Marlins have traded outfielder Christian Yelich to the Brewers for Lewis Brinson (OF), Monte Harrison (OF), Isan Diaz (MI), and Jordan Yamamoto (RHP). The move stabilizes the Brewers outfield and still allows them to make further moves. For the Marlins, they just continue selling off any valuable asset to lower payroll. With Yelich, the Brewers receive a great all-around player. Last season, Yelich hit .282/.368/.439 with 18 homers and 16 steals while playing center field. He could easily surpass that home run total…

2018 Player Profile: Domingo Santana

Domingo Santana - Fabulous and Flawed This time last year, Domingo Santana was somewhat of an afterthought. Ryan Braun’s name was swirling in trade rumors for the 800th time, Lewis Brinson was unanimously the Brewers' top prospect, and Keon Broxton was being over-drafted in nearly every league. Santana still managed to sneak onto fantasy teams, but his 236 ESPN ADP meant he was often one of the last players picked to fill out a roster. The return on that investment, however, was enormous. Santana hit .278/.371/.505 with…

Chacin, meanwhile, will lock in what is easily the biggest deal of his career. His fantasy stock for 2018, however, takes a resulting hit. Chacin’s low…

This week we switch back to real life and look at the top World Series contenders this season. You know the old saying, “Pitching and defense win championships.” When I was a youngster, I disagreed with that notion. My eight-year-old brain would think, “Well, you need to score runs to win games!” This might have been because I was eight during the infamous 1998 home run race between Mark McGwire and Sammy…

The 5 Coolest Ballparks in the National League

Best Baseball Stadiums: National League The days of the cookie cutter ballparks have mostly been phased out, bringing in a new era of style and strategy for every team in the league. I gathered as must information as possible to make this list, and I feel fortunate that I have personally been in three of these parks, with the other two being recommended by friends and family members. So if someone not associated with the Oscars would pass me the envelope, the following are, in my opinion, the top 5 coolest ballparks can be…
