Fantasy Basketball Fast Break (Week of 12/4)

Injuries, injuries, and more injuries. Can everyone stop getting injured? That’d be great, thanks. We had several big names suffer injuries over the past week, including one of my personal favorites, Nikola Jokic. The Joker joins frontcourt teammate Paul Millsap on the shelf, which opens more playing time for someone we’ll discuss below. Joining the Denver Nuggets with frontcourt injury concerns are the Atlanta Hawks, who will be without both John Collins and Dewayne Dedmon for the next few weeks. The frontcourt injuries…

Fantasy Basketball Fast Break (Week of 11/27)

As we near the end of the first quarter of the NBA season, it’s safe to say that almost all of the big names to change teams this summer are thriving in their new surroundings. Both Chris Paul and Paul George are dominating for their new teams and are both top-10 players on a per-game basis. Jimmy Butler got off to a slow start in the scoring department for Minnesota, but he has really turned it on over the last two weeks, averaging 19.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. That number should only continue to rise…

Fantasy Basketball Fast Break (Week of 10/30)

Man, this Antetokounmpo kid is pretty good at basketball, huh? Through six games, the Greek Freak has averaged 35.0 points, 10.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2.4 steals, and 1.0 blocks on a ridiculous 62.4% from the field. Imagine if he ever decided to start shooting from the outside more. It might just be six games, but Antetokounmpo is fully capable of putting up these numbers over a full season.Well, we didn't have a big name star get injured last week, so that's something. However, all the big stars that got injured last…

NBA Impact Rookie Report

Now that our fantasy sleepers series has wrapped up, we move on to this season's impact rookies. After a loaded 2017 NBA Draft, the outlook is promising on the fantasy front. Some of the best talents in the draft may take a few years to become valuable contributors, but several should still make an impact from this season's opening tip. It should be no surprise that three of our choices were lottery picks this year and players who will receive impact roles immediately. Lonzo Ball, Los Angeles Lakers No rookie from the 2017…

Scouting the 2017 NBA Draft: Bigs

Although this draft class is touted as one of the best in recent memory, it’s lacking big men. This week, I’ll lay out my top-10 bigs with a small scouting report on each. The class may lack the elite talent in bigs, but it makes up for it in the depth of quality role players. Many of these guys will find a team and stick for a long time because they have one trait that puts them over the top. I will split this top-10 into tiers. First up, tier one.All measurements are from DraftExpress. Tier One These are players that…
