Ezekiel Elliott was the undisputed fantasy star of Week 7. Elliott led or tied for the NFL lead among running backs in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns in Week 7. One of the headlines in Week 6 was the fallout resulting from the trade of Adrian Peterson from New Orleans to Arizona. Peterson hadn’t shown anything in his brief stint as a New Orleans Saint other than rust and age, rushing for just 81 yards through four games. Fantasy Football: Week 6 Running Back Matchup Report

Week 5 was not a banner week for running backs. There were just 15 running backs to have at least 10 fantasy points in Week 5. Perhaps more bizarre is the fact that three of the 15 recorded single-digit rushing yards. Running backs had just 11 rushing touchdowns in Week 5, the lowest total since Week 10 of the 2015 season.
