Fantasy Hockey Week 11 Goalie Streams – 12/18/23

The 11th week of the 2023-24 NHL season is beginning and there are strong goalie options to add. Whether you need options for your fantasy hockey team this week or a longer term, we’ll cover the best netminders to pick up. When looking for goalie streams in fantasy hockey, it’s best to look at back-to-backs and if there are injuries to starters. That’s what we have for you here today. This is a look at the three best options in net to stream in Week 11 of the fantasy hockey season.

Fantasy Hockey Week 11 Goalie Streams

Charlie Lindgren, Washington Capitals

The Washington Capitals are getting better goaltending out of their so-called backup Charlie Lindgren than they are their starter Darcy Keumper. In order to stay in the playoff race and win games, this has forced the Capitals to play Lindgren a good amount. He’s started 11 games this season and has a .925 save percentage (SV%). To go along with that he has six wins and two shutouts, great fantasy numbers.

The Capitals play three games next week. Their matchups are the New York Islanders and Columbus Blue Jackets on a back-to-back and then the Tampa Bay Lightning. Things could be a lot tougher than they are. With Keumper getting the start on Sunday of last week, I expect Lindgren to get two starts this week. Hopefully one of them comes against the Blue Jackets for an easy win.

Martin Jones, Toronto Maple Leafs

The injury to Joseph Woll of the Toronto Maple Leafs opened up space for Martin Jones to be recalled and help out in the NHL. Through three starts he has a perfect 3-0-0 record with a .949 SV% and one shutout. With the way he’s playing, it is likely that the Maple Leafs will split starts between him and Ilya Samsonov for the time being. As long as Jones is playing lights out, he’s worth a look.

The Maple Leafs play the New York Rangers, Buffalo Sabres, and Blue Jackets. Two of those three matchups haven’t proved to be very difficult this season for opponents. Jones should, at the very least, get one start. That start would be against Buffalo or Columbus. But if he gets more, expect him to contest the Rangers on top of that.

Scott Wedgewood, Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars’ starter, Jake Oettinger, left a game last week and didn’t return. He is still out of the lineup, so for the time being, Scott Wedgewood will take over the starting duties. He is playing behind a strong team that has the advantage over many opponents. He hasn’t been incredible this season, but he is 6-1-2 with a .904 SV%. That is very serviceable, especially when he doesn’t have the most difficult matchups.

With Oettinger’s timetable to return still up in the air, Wedgewood could be a very viable option to stick with until their starter returns. He won’t be contested for starts unless he really stinks. His opponents this week should be the Seattle Kraken, Vancouver Canucks, and Nashville Predators. Two wins is a good estimation for this week.

Make sure to take advantage of these goalies for this week. The longer you wait, the more of a chance someone you may want is picked up before you get to them. There are early games that you will want to take advantage of as well. While a couple of these goaltenders should get at least one start this week, be sure to keep an eye on any other options throughout the week that may become solid options as well.
