2021 Fantasy Football:  Week 4 Quarterback Rankings

Welcome to another week of quarterback rankings!  There were some standout performances in Week 3, as well as reminders that rookie quarterbacks still need some seasoning.  There’s lots to consider moving forward, so let’s get to those Week 4 quarterback rankings and notes.

Week 4 Quarterback Notes

Josh Allen finished as the QB1 this week, throwing for 358 yards and four passing TDs.  He also chipped in a rushing touchdown to make up for his nine rushing yards on the day.  Look for him to continue to roll with a juicy matchup against the Texans this week.

Tom Brady only threw one touchdown in Week 3, and he still finished the week as the QB4 by airing it out for 432 yards; he also scored a rushing touchdown.  Brady is a weekly top-5 QB.  He’s coming off a loss to the Rams and heads to New England in Week 4.  Angry Brady Alert!

Justin Herbert was fantastic against the Chiefs.  He led the Chargers to a win by throwing for 281 yards and four touchdowns.  He’ll try to hand the Raiders their first loss in Week 4.

Shout-out to Kirk Cousins.  He had another strong week, throwing for 323 yards and three touchdowns.  He’s the QB4 on the season, with eight passing touchdowns and no interceptions.  I like him against the Browns this week.

Sam Darnold also warrants some love.  He threw for 304 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns in Week 3, and has been a QB1 this season.  The Panthers have taken advantage of an easy schedule, and they have another plus matchup in Week 4 against the Cowboys.

Ryan Tannehill needs to shake off the rust from a slow start to the season.  I think a Week 4 matchup against the Jets could do the trick.

I was all-in on Daniel Jones in Week 3 and, well, that didn’t turn out so well.  Jones failed to capitalize in a prime matchup against the Falcons and ended the day without a touchdown.  I still think he offers sneaky mobility in two-quarterback leagues and is a quarterback you can stream in favorable situations.  However, facing the Saints in Week 4 doesn’t count as a favorable situation.

It’s been a rough start to the season for rookie quarterbacks.  Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson are tied for a league-leading seven interceptions through three weeks.  Justin Fields is coming off a start where he was sacked nine times and was 6-for-20 with 68 yards and no touchdowns.  Mac Jones has fared best overall as the QB28 on the season.  Just a friendly reminder that while all these young quarterbacks have gobs of potential and upside, you shouldn’t expect them to be great out of the gate.
