Week 7 Rankings from CDM Champion Mick Ciallela

Baker Mayfield, QB1. It’s a term you are likely to hear quite a bit over the next few weeks. Mayfield has upcoming matchups against Tampa Bay (most fantasy points allowed per game to opposing quarterbacks), Pittsburgh (fourth-most), Kansas City (fifth-most), and Atlanta (second-most). It is a stretch that coincides with most NFL teams experiencing their bye weeks. Mayfield should be locked and loaded in fantasy lineups for weeks to come. I have him as the QB11 in my Week 7 rankings, and I think that may be a bit conservative. Nick Foles is the only quarterback to fail to post a top-ten fantasy finish against the Buccaneers this season.

Fantrax Football CommissionerThe biggest headline on the running back front was the placement of Atlanta running back Devonta Freeman onto injured reserve. Freeman has barely played this season due to injury and can be dropped in redraft leagues. Ito Smith becomes a must-own where available, although I am sure you all added him following my recommendation last week. Smith has scored in three straight games and is squarely in weekly Flex consideration. Tevin Coleman obviously gets a boost as well. He is now a full-time fantasy starter every week going forward regardless of matchup.

Staying in Atlanta, Julio Jones is the overall WR1 in my Week 7 rankings once again. He is going to remain the overall WR1 for me until he comes through… Or until next week when Atlanta has a bye. I haven’t decided which yet. The biggest riser on my board this week is Marquise Goodwin of the San Francisco 49ers. Goodwin flashed his world-class speed on Monday night in Green Bay, securing two touchdowns en route to an overall WR4 weekly finish. Goodwin is likely to be busy again this week against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams have allowed 10 touchdown catches to opposing wideouts. Only Atlanta has allowed more on the year. San Francisco will have to put up points to match up with the Rams, and Goodwin should be targeted heavily.

Below are the rest of my Week 7 rankings. As always, please note that it is still quite early in the week, so feel free to comment below or follow me on Twitter @themick23 to ask me any specific questions you may have.
