For many of you, it’s the last week of the season before the fantasy playoffs, so not only should you think about rostering these players as potential starters this week, but also for potential depth on your team should you have an injury. Let’s take a look at three potential Week 14 streamers that you can plug right into your lineups.
Week 14 Fantasy Football Streamers
Corey Davis, New York Jets, WR:
He’s rostered in 11% of leagues, and with Mike “White Mike” White running this offense, you can actually expect production out of this NY wide receiving corp. This past week he turned 10 targets (!!!) into five catches and 85 yards. The Jets will be playing the Bills this week, so I’m expecting a positive game script for the passing game. I don’t care how good the Jets defense plays. They won’t be stopping the Bills from scoring 24+ points. Wilson and Davis are the wide receivers to own in this offense. One of which is on your waiver wire!
Nico Collins, Houston Texans, WR:
He’s rostered in under 20% of leagues, but with Kyle Allen at quarterback, I’m surprised that number isn’t lower. Let’s be honest, this offense isn’t able to move the ball until garbage time. But guess what….garbage time counts the same as all the other seconds and minutes in the game. Collins has 36 targets, 2 TDs, and 176 yards in his last four games. The important number in that stat line is the 36 targets. He’s going to give you a chance to score double digits, off of the waiver wire. What more can you ask for, really? It doesn’t matter who the Texans play. A team this bad is going to be passing more than running in the second half of every game. Roster the man.
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers, QB:
This year’s Mr. Irrelevant (last pick in the draft) came in the game for Jimmy G (who is now having season-ending surgery) and absolutely thrived last week. Not only did he not look like a rookie, but he showed tremendous poise. The Dolphins would hit him with an all-out blitz, and he would stand in the pocket and fire a rocket right back in the teeth of the blitz. He would make quick progressions. He would squeeze spirals into tight windows. Everything you could imagine out of your starter, was what he accomplished. This is his team now, and with all of the weapons around him, the 49ers will make sure they set him up to succeed. It’s hard to find a reliable QB on the waiver wire, so you’ll need to scoop him up before it’s too late, if you have a need there.
