Week 12 DFS Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel

Finally now that Week 12 is here we have three games on Thursday which means more Thursday DFS picks. Now that we are past the halfway point in the season, DraftKings and Fanduel are finally getting their salaries right.

But, that doesn’t mean you have to overpay on your DFS picks for the week. I still have you covered with my top value picks at each position.

Just as a reminder, DraftKings has a salary base of $50,000, and FanDuel has a base of $60,000. Now, let’s get into it.

Week 12 DFS Picks:

Quarterbacks

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks (DK $6,200 FD $7,500)

Russell Wilson has been terrible in his first two games back from injury. But, coming off his injury he went against two of the hottest defenses in the league in Green Bay and Arizona. This week he has Washington. They are giving up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season in 26.4. This is the week Wilson comes back and drops a huge fantasy bomb. Lucky for you, he is cheap in DFS this week, so make sure to snag him up.

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers (DK $5,600 FD $8,000)

What else can I say about Cam Newton that hasn’t been said? It looked as if he was going to call it quits this season after spending the first half of the season in free agency. But, he has revived his career over these past two games. He has five total touchdowns in two games and it looks like he will continue that streak against the Dolphins. Newton is still a big threat in the red zone as well. He is set for a huge game this week against this shaky defense in the Dolphins.

Other Value Pick: Taylor Henickie, Washington Football Team (DK $5,400 FD $7,300)

Running Backs

Devonta Freeman, Baltimore Ravens (DK $5,200 FD $6,000)

Devonta Freeman is another player we forgot about. But the veteran has shown he still has gas in the tank. He has had four touchdowns over his last five games. He is a threat through the air and on the ground. So for this price why not snag him as a flex or RB2. Marquise Brown looks as if he will miss another week. This means Freeman will get even more work with one of their top receivers out of the passing game.

D’Andre Swift, Detroit Lions (DK $7,300 FD $8,000)

D’Andre Swift has come into his own as a top fantasy running back this season. The Lions have been terrible, but Swift has been one of the shining stars on the team. This Thursday the Lions have the Bears who are giving up just over 18 fantasy points to running backs this season. In Week 4 the Bears held Swift to single-digit fantasy points. I see him getting his revenge this week.

Other Value Pick: Darrell Henderson Jr., Los Angeles Rams (DK $5,800 FD $7,300)

Wide Receivers

Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers (DK $6,600 FD $7,100)

In four of his last five games, Diontae Johnson has had exactly 13 targets. He is the number one receiver on the team. Last week alone he had seven receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. This week the Steelers have the Bengals who did have a good week against the Raiders, but the week before they were blown out by Baker Mayfield. This defense is highly inconsistent and I expect Johnson to have a game.

Jalen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (DK $5,900 FD $6,700)

Jalen Waddle is the clear favorite target in the Dolphins offense this season. They do have a tough matchup this week against the Panthers, but that won’t affect Waddle’s production. Since Week 6, his lowest number of targets in a game has been six. He is a PPR machine and is creeping up into talks of making a run for offensive rookie of the year. Even Though he is playing the Panthers, his salary is too good not to pass up on this week.

Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers (DK $7,900 FD $8,000)

Deebo Samuel is my number one wide receiver in DFS this week. His salary is great and has a perfect matchup against the Vikings. Samuel had an off week last week, but I assure you he will be back to a top-five wide receiver this week. The Vikings are giving up the fifth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. Samuel should be your number one receiver this week.

Other Value Pick: Elijah Moore, New York Jets (DK $5,600 FD $6,400)

Tight End

Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles (DK $4,800 FD $5,900)

In standard leagues, Dallas Goedert isn’t the best fit for a tight end, since he is not a touchdown threat. But, in PPR he is the safety blanket for Jalen Hurts. This week the Eagles have the Giants and I expect this to be a high-scoring game between the division rivals. Goedert will see his targets and should have a huge game.

Other Value Pick: Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys (DK $5,300 FD $6,000)

Defense

New England Patriots (DK $3,900 FD $5,000)

This might be the last week I have the Patriots as my DFS pick because after this week they do have a tough schedule. But, this week they have the Tennessee Titans, who have not looked hot at all in the last two weeks. The Patriots on the other hand are one of the hottest teams in the league, thanks to their defense. This is a great matchup, and remember Ryan Tannehill threw four interceptions last week against the Texans.
