Week 10 DST Streamers

Full disclosure: it’s gonna be ugly this week finding defenses to stream. Some DSTs I’ve named before such as the Giants and Texans have unfavorable matchups. Plus a couple of good DSTs are on a bye again. It’s going to be a tough week but that’s what we’re here for. Pick through the slop and find our favorite options for you.

In Week 10 the Chiefs, Dolphins, Eagles, and Rams are on a bye. As always the teams I name will be available in 50% or more Fantrax Leagues.

Week 10 DST Streamers

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders defense (and the team as a whole) came to play this past Sunday against the Giants. Sadly I got to witness it in person. When I have named the Raiders DST earlier this year I said their defense has overperformed expectations. I stand by that statement, especially after the coaching change. Antonio Pierce is building a culture there in the image of the culture the Giants defense played under. Now the Raiders get the Jets who just stunk up the joint against the Chargers on Monday night. It’s a short week and you know Pierce and the Raiders would love to reintroduce themselves to the world.

Carolina Panthers

I told you it’s going to be ugly. We kick off the tenth week of the season with a Thursday Night Football matchup between two teams with a combined record of 3-14. Yuck. Anyway, the Panthers DST have been playing decent football of late. They’ve put up nine points in each of the last two games in a row. They’ve allowed under 230 yards in those contests and are facing a Bears offense that might get Khalil Herbert back but is unlikely to get Justin Fields back. The Panthers are a nice option for your streaming options. Meanwhile, on the other side of the field, we have the…

Chicago Bears

Yup, I like both teams to stream this week. The Panthers offense is better than the Bears at this point and the Bears DST hasn’t played well lately. Here’s why I like them in this week. They were playing better in the three games prior to the last two. They put up nine or more in those contests and as much as 18 against the Raiders. In their last two games, they’ve had some brutal matchups, facing the Saints and Chargers. The Panthers are a far cry from those offenses, especially with how one-dimensional the offense has been of late. Thursday night could get ugly, it’s a short week for both teams. I’m banking on the defense having the advantage in this ugly contest.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This is a gamble but we’re banking on the Titans being a step down from the Buccaneers’ recent opponents. The Titans offense is a far cry from the Texans and the Bills. Although they have looked better under Will Levis he’s not yet on the same level as C.J. Stroud. The Buccaneers are very reliant on their passing attack which should give the Buccaneers an edge scheming up their defense. Look for Tampa to return to their early season performance this week where they put up eight or more in three of the first four contests.

Indianapolis Colts

Hey, have I mentioned its thin at DST this week? If you are truly desperate, you can turn to the Colts DST who have been hot and cold this season. After a strong start with outputs of 11, 8, and 8 to start the year they have only one contest with more than 5 points and that was this past Sunday. Still, the Patriots offense has made a lot of DSTs look really good this season. This is more a bet against them than it is on the Colts being good.
