TNF DFS Picks for DraftKings

*Disclaimer: These picks have been constructed with the mindset of building a single lineup. When building large field/multi-entry tournaments, if the player sees the field you’ll want to have a piece of him somewhere, my “busts” included.*

Captain

Tyler Boyd

DraftKings Captain Salary- $10,200

The Bengals as a whole have got to be dying to get back out on the football field. Perhaps none more than Tyler Boyd, who had what could have been the game clenching catch in his hands before losing his handle on the pigskin. Fellow WR Tee Higgins has already been ruled out of tonight’s TNF matchup with a hamstring injury. If tonight’s game is anything like last week, then Boyd’s DraftKings price is far too low. His salary unlocks a ton of flexibility within your utility picks. With Higgins out and Ja’Marr Chase “nursing” a “back injury”, Tyler Boyd essentially got a WR1 workload last week. His 12 targets led his team, while his 117 receiving yards ranked second. Tonight’s game should be a similarly high-scoring affair, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Boyd come away with the touchdown that escaped him last week.

Core Play

Joe Burrow

DraftKings Salary- $10,000

Joe Burrow might be the most competitive man in the National Football League. He does not like to lose. After being outplayed by rookie CJ Stroud last week, I am 100% sure that Joey B is going to dial in on primetime television tonight. His TNF DK price of 10k is pretty expensive, but that’s not a price that will scare me away from rostering one of the most consistent players on the slate. Joe Brrr has caught fire over the last few weeks. Since the Week 7 BYE, Joe Burrow has not scored below 24.9 DK points. In the same time span, Burrow has thrown for 7 touchdowns. Tonight will be the second meeting this season between the Ravens and the Bengals. In that matchup, Burrow threw for 222 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. That’s a fine stat line, keeping in mind that Burrow was fighting through a calf injury at the time.

Value Play

Gus Edwards

DraftKings Salary- $7,000

I don’t think I need to offer much analysis for a running back who has scored 7 touchdowns in the last four games, but here I go anyway. Gus Edwards has been on somewhat of a hot streak these last four weeks. His lowest output in that range came last week against a very tough Browns defensive line. Even still, Edwards found the end zone. The week prior, Edwards took just 5 carries for 52 yards and two scores, showing his big play ability. Edwards seems to be the goal line running back, which is really saying something considering he has a running quarterback in Lamar Jackson. Gus will be facing competition for carries tonight, as the Ravens coaching staff recently announced that the plan is to get Keaton Mitchell more involved in TNF tonight. Still, this Bengals DST has been beatable on the ground, most recently allowing Devin Singletary to run for 150 yards.

Sleeper

Tanner Hudson

DraftKings Salary- $2,600

Tanner who? Tanner Hudson has had a long road to get to the point of fantasy relevance, but I think we might be there. If you want to learn more about Tanner’s story, then I suggest googling it, because you won’t find it here. You will however find a  couple of good reasons why he should be in your TNF DK lineups tonight. The environment tonight ought to be very similar to last week, Tee Higgins is out, so other pass catchers will once again be asked to step up. Last week Tanner Hudson got off to a red-hot start, catching five passes on the opening drive of the game. His price has risen since then, but not enough to negate the value that he can provide at his salary. Joe Burrow has really been liking his tight ends lately, Hudson could make another splash tonight.

TNF Bust

Odell Beckham Jr.

DraftKings Salary- $5,200

On paper things are starting to look up for Odell Beckham Jr. A week after voicing his concerns for his involvement, Beckham got his first touchdown of the season. That touchdown came in the 4th quarter of a blowout game and it also came from the backup QB, but hey, a touchdown is a touchdown. Beckham even found the end zone again last week. Albeit it was on a single, solitary reception on just two targets. While Beckham does not have an injury designation for TNF, he did miss practice this week, resting a sore knee. He played a season-low 30% of snaps last week. Both signs point to Beckham possibly being limited tonight.
