SNF DFS Picks For DraftKings

*Disclaimer: These picks have been constructed with the mindset of building a single lineup. When building large field/multi-entry tournaments, if the player sees the field you’ll want to have a piece of him somewhere, my “busts” included.*

Captain

Lamar Jackson

DraftKings Captain Salary- $18,000

The Baltimore Ravens will be playing in their second primetime game of the season when they step on the field for SNF. There must be something about the bright lights because when all eyes are on him, Lamar Jackson shines. Particularly for fantasy. To this point this season, the Chargers DST grades very poorly against the run. Playing against Tua Tagovailoa, Ryan Tannehill, Kirk Cousins, Jimmy Garoppolo, Dak Prescott, Mahomes, Tyson Bagent, Jared Goff, and Jordan Love, the Chargers have yet to face a dynamic mobile quarterback like Lamar. The success that running backs have had against this defense not only makes me bullish about Jackson’s prospects, but it instills confidence in running backs Gus Edwards and Keaton Mitchell as well. All of Lamar’s usual weapons like Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, and Odell Beckham Jr. should be active tonight. Against the second friendliest pass defense in the league, Lamar should be able to do damage on the ground and through the air.

Core Play

Keenan Allen

DraftKings Salary- $11,200

Win or lose Keenan Allen has been a productive member of the LA Chargers offense. In fact, he’s by far been the most reliable offensive member period. We’re in Week 12 of the NFL season, and Joshua Palmer, who was injured in Week 8 is still second in targets. That goes to show that when Palmer went down, Allen’s piece of the pie got exponentially bigger. Justin Herbert seemingly has zero problems at all peppering the veteran WR with targets. At 113, Allen sits comfortably with 74 more targets than any of his teammates. He refuses to bust no matter the circumstance. Keenan has scored double-digit DK points in his last four matchups. Volume is the name of the game for Allen. He’ll be matched up against a secondary that gave up 6 catches for 98 yards to the duo of Deshaun Watson and Amari Cooper in Week 10. Allen will look to make another splash tonight on SNF.

Value

Isaiah Likely

DraftKings Salary- $5,200

With Mark Andrews suffering a significant ankle injury, it will be up to Isaiah Likely to help keep the chains moving for the Baltimore offense. Likely has been great in relief of Andrews in the past. In 2022 Andrew was forced out of Baltimore’s Oct.27th matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Likely would finish the game with six receptions on seven targets, compiling 77 yards and a touchdown. In his first start the next week, Likely would score again. The Ravens got a bye the week after, giving Andrews time to heal and he wouldn’t miss another game that season. At least not due to the injury. With the Ravens sitting their starters, Likely led the team in receiving, catching eight passes from third-string QB Anthony Brown for 103 yards. Likely figures to be an important part of this offense moving forward, it starts with SNF though.

Sleeper

Quentin Johnston

DraftKings Salary- $3,000

Justin Herbert can’t throw the ball to Keenan every time. Well, he could, but defenses would no doubt start to catch on after about 9 or 10 straight receptions. It’s pretty simple. $3,000 DK dollars is far, far too cheap for a player who is virtually the WR2 for a Justin Herbert led offense. I won’t lie to you, it won’t be easy clicking on Quentin Johnston. His rookie campaign has not gone how most envisioned it when the Chargers drafted him in the very first round. When Mike Williams went down everyone was sure that Johnston would step up. He did not. Now that Palmer is also out of service, Johnston has been forced to contribute. Out there for 83%,85%. and 86% of snaps in his last three outings Johnston has also been targeted more frequently each time out. MNF could be the platform Johnston has been waiting for to show us why he’s worthy of a first-round selection.

SNF Bust

Austin Ekeler

DraftKings Salary- $10,000

I hate throwing a high-profile player like Austin Ekeler into my SNF bust column. But the tea leaves are telling me that he’s a bust candidate for the second straight week. The Baltimore Ravens DST has really locked down against the run in the last few weeks. In fact, in the last four weeks, only one running back has been able to record a rushing touchdown. Austin Ekeler is not known for his rushing abilities, so he’ll likely have to get it done through the air in a touch SNF matchup. The problem is that he’s not catching the ball at nearly the rate he has on the past. With just eight receptions in the last three weeks, Ekeler may not see the volume needed to pay off his pricey salary.
