Out Of Position Stats: Players To Target

Out of position stats can be key to any successful fantasy season. Unlike a number of other fantasy basketball draft strategies, this concept is important for both roto and head-to-head leagues. Managers are almost always chasing particular categories, typically during the later rounds of their drafts. For that reason, I have decided to focus on targets outside of the perceived top-60. That being said, they should also have value across most standard formats.

Players fitting this criterion are also going to work with a number of punt builds. Lonzo Ball, for example, provides out-of-position stats across a number of categories. Ball is certainly one of the better rebounding guards and should be available outside the top-50. On the flip side, scoring is not a strength when looking at his overall fantasy game. For that reason, he is fantastic if you are building a team around punting points. A deeper dive into punting can be found in my Punt Strategy article, as well as Dave Sun’s How To Punt And Win.
