NBA Fantasy Basketball Deep League Waiver Wire Adds: Week 17 Part Two

As the NBA All-Star festivities wind down, it’s time to refocus on fantasy hoops with my deep league waiver wire adds for Week 17 Part Two. Get ready for slam-dunk additions who will boost your bench and outshine your league rivals.

Last week, I highlighted Tre Mann, Grant Williams, and GG Jackson. All three are now rostered in TOO many leagues to qualify for this list.

The following players are rostered in < 50% of Fantrax leagues.

Deep League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 17 Part Two

Josh Green, SG/SF – Dallas Mavericks (45% rostered)

Before blowing out the Spurs, Green was on a ROLL over his previous seven games, averaging 14.9 points, 4.4 rebounds 2.6 assists, 2.1 three-pointers, and 1.1 steals. You would think his head coach was Tom Thibodeau with how many minutes he gets on a nightly basis. The Arizona product is an excellent and consistent source of points, boards, dimes, triples, and swipes.

Toumani Camara, PF – Portland Trailblazers (35% rostered)

Camara has officially supplanted Jabari Walker in the starting lineup in Portland. While this makes me sad as a Colorado alumni, I can’t ignore the fact that the rookie has smashed over the past two games, averaging 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 three-pointers, and 1.0 blocks. The 23-year-old has a safe floor starting alongside Deandre Ayton, and he should get consistent points, rebounds, triples, and blocks for his fantasy managers.

John Konchar, SG/SF – Memphis Grizzlies (32% rostered)

Konchar has at least one stock in four straight games, averaging 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks. On top of averaging 3.1 stocks over his past four games, the 27-year-old is chipping in with 5.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists during that span. The Purdue-Fort Wayne product has started the past 13 games for Memphis, which is a trend that should continue as long as he’s healthy.

Cody Martin, SG/SF – Charlotte Hornets (28% rostered)

Martin won’t wow you in any category, but he’s been a stellar rebounder and distributor over the past five games, averaging 5.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists. The 28-year-old has even chipped in with low-end 3-and-D stats during that span, averaging 1.0 three-pointers and 0.8 steals. The Nevada product is starting and playing heavy minutes for the Hornets, which means managers who need boards and dimes with some triples and swipes should make the move.

Royce O’Neale, SG/SF – Phoenix Suns (41% rostered)

Since getting his feet wet in his first game with the Suns, O’Neale has been getting massive minutes off the bench. Over the past two games, the 30-year-old is averaging 9.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 3.0 steals, and 2.5 three-pointers in 26.6 minutes off the bench. It seems Phoenix trusts the veteran during crunch time, which bodes well for his patented 3-and-D stats along with solid boards and dimes.

Jordan Goodwin, PG – Memphis Grizzlies (23% rostered)

In Goodwin’s first game as a Grizzly, he posted 10 points, three rebounds, three assists, one three-pointer, one steal, and one block in 24 minutes off the bench. The 25-year-old moved into the starting lineup in his second game and had one of his best games of the season, accumulating 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one three-pointer in 28 minutes. While the Saint Louis product won’t stick in the starting lineup, it’s clear Memphis wants to give their new addition plenty of run off the bench for the rest of the season.

Super Deep League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 17

Lamar Stevens, PF – Memphis Grizzlies (15% rostered)

Stevens was acquired by Memphis in a deal that sent Xavier Tillman to Boston at the trade deadline. While he didn’t play in the first two games, the 26-year-old has averaged 25.1 minutes over the past three games while supplying 12.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 0.7 three-pointers during that span. Like Goodwin, the Penn State product should get plenty of run the rest of the season, which warrants a look in super deep fantasy leagues.
