Fantasy Football 2023: Week 6 Wide Receiver Rankings

Well, if you have Justin Jefferson, let me be the 100th person to say I’m sorry. But, I’m also the person that will save you with my Week 6 wide receiver rankings. It is always tough when you lose your first-round pick for a few weeks, but there is no need to panic. This happens all the time in fantasy and you just need to adapt.

Aside from the Jefferson news, DJ Moore and Ja’Marr Chase had enormous fantasy games this week. Moore dropped 45 points and Chase at 44.7. But, there were some sneaky guys at the top including Adam Thielen with 22.2 points and George Pickens with 23.6. Let’s see how all the wide receivers rank this week.

Wide Receiver Notes

  • Jordan Addison and K.J. Osborn should be at the top of your waiver adds. Addison is most likely taken, but if he isn’t he needs to be rostered. Addison is my WR27 and Osborn is my WR43. Osborn will likely be the third option behind Addison and T.J. Hockenson. But, Osborn still saw nine targets in Week 5. He only had 49 yards, but the targets are promising. They have the Bears this week who are giving up just around 30 fantasy points per game to wide receivers.
  • Cooper Kupp came back this week and didn’t miss a step. He easily jumps up to my WR4 on the week with Puka Nacua behind him as WR8. Kupp had 12 targets and brought in eight of them for 118 yards. All he was missing was a touchdown. Nacua had 11 targets and racked in seven for 71 yards and a touchdown. So, it looks like both of these receivers will thrive in this offense. They have the Cardinals this week who are giving up the seventh most fantasy points per game to wide receivers in 32.9.
  • Jakobi Meyers has a revenge game this week against the Patriots. Meyers is my WR36 for Week 6 and he is looking like he is Jimmy Garoppolo’s favorite target. Through four games Meyers has three touchdowns, 274 receiving yards, 25 receptions, and 36 targets. Garoppolo is looking his way and it could be a huge game for Meyers going against his old team.
  • Lastly, Thielen is my WR23 against Miami. Thielen has come alive these last few weeks scoring double digits in every game except for Week 1. He has three touchdowns on the year and 394 receiving yards. Miami has a middle-tier defense against wide receivers this year giving up 30.5 fantasy points per game. Last week Thielen had 11 receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown. Behind him was Jonathan Mingo with five receptions for 48 yards. Start Thielen this week.
