Fantasy Football 2023: Week 16 Wide Receiver Rankings

If you’re reading this, then I’m sure you won your first round of fantasy playoffs. Now, let’s get you another win this week. Week 16 is no cakewalk for wide receivers and if you have Ja’Marr Chase you are going to need to see these rankings. Chase is likely to miss the next couple of weeks with a shoulder injury and Chris Olave could miss Week 16 as well.

There is a chance that you could have both these players on your team so you’re going to need to find some replacements for the second round of playoffs. So without further ado let’s get into my Week 16 wide receiver rankings.

Wide Receiver Notes

  • Let’s start with Mike Evans as my WR5. Evans did not play well in Week 14, but he got back in the endzone in Week 15. Though he only put up 57 yards and a touchdown last week, that still put him as WR23. But this week he has the Jaguars who are in the top 10 of worst defenses against fantasy wide receivers. They are giving up 29.6 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Evans is bound to have a huge game and has been so consistent all season. Roll with him as WR1 this week.
  • Next, I have Rashee Rice as my WR12. Since Week 12 Rice is WR3. He has 65.4 fantasy points in that four-game stretch. At this point, he is the only wide receiver that Patrick Mahomes can trust to catch the ball and stay onside. Not only is Rice on fire but he also has the Raiders this week. Now the Raiders defense has been on fire as of late, but given this is a division game, anything can happen. The last time these two played, Rice put up 107 yards on eight catches and a touchdown. That added up to 20.7 fantasy points. He is a must-start this week.
  • Tee Higgins has a chance to go off yet again as he is my WR17 this week. Like I said before, Chase will not be active this week. It would be a miracle if he plays so given that Higgins is the number one receiver for the Bengals. Higgins was the clear red zone target and look for him to do it again this week against the Steelers. This is a must-win game for both teams and I see Jake Browning getting the best of the Steelers this time around. Higgins is a solid WR2 this week.
  • Lastly, I have DeAndre Hopkins as a sneaky league winner this week. I have him as my WR25 against the Seahawks. The Seahawks are giving up 30.5 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Hopkins has been hot and cold as of late. The Titans are eliminated from playoffs so I can see them airing the ball out to Hopkins and just trying to put points on the board. Hopkins has two touchdowns in his last three games, so he is due for a big game this week.
