Fantasy Football 2022: Week 7 Wide Receiver Rankings

Week 7 is here, and it’s a tough one in terms of bye-week players. No Justin Jefferson, Cooper Kupp, Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis or A.J. Brown. Weeks like this are why you need to pay attention to my wide receiver rankings this week. This is where you will find your sleepers for the week. Players like Rondale Moore, Wan’Dale Robinson, and Alec Pierce. All of these are easy WR2 or flex starts for Week 7. Jefferson and Kupp have easily won you weeks, but now it is time to trust some of these smaller names you’ll find in my Week 7 Wide Receiver Rankings.

Wide Receiver Notes:

  • Chris Godwin is slowly making his way back to the top of the rankings lists. I have him as my WR12 this week. Honestly, I’m surprised at how quickly Godwin recovered from his injury last year. Godwin just needs a touchdown, and this is the week he will get it. The Panthers are giving up just under 30 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. This will be a bounce-back game for Tampa Bay and expect Godwin to be a solid WR2 this week.
  • Michael Pittman Jr. jumps back up to the WR7 in my Week 7 Wide Receiver Rankings this week against the Titans. Pittman had a season-high 16 targets last week and caught 13 of them for 134 yards. But, it was his teammate Pierce who ended up with the touchdown. If you don’t have Pittman, then Pierce is a safe start this week as well. Peirce has scored in double digits for the last three weeks.
  • DeAndre Hopkins is back this week, but he sits as my WR30 this week. The Cardinals have a great matchup this week against the Saints, but the Cardinals’ offense has not looked sharp at all this year. All signs point to Hopkins being the guy now that Marquise Brown is out. It all depends on Kyler Murray getting this offense back on point. Hopkins is a flex start this week.
  • Lastly, I want to talk about Robinson. I have him as my WR44. The Giants are 5-1 because of their run game and defense. Robinson only had 37 yards on three receptions and one touchdown last week. So, you may be wondering why I’m high on him this week. The reason is the Giants legit have no receivers and Robinson looks like he could take the number one slot. He has all the upside and if you have wide receivers on a bye, then he is the perfect receiver to take a shot on. They have the Jaguars this week who are giving up just over 28 fantasy points per game.
