Fantasy Basketball Week 11 Trade Targets

As we finish off the first three months of the season, we dive into three well-known players who are buy-low trade targets.

Like any good stock trader, the best time to sell is when the value of a commodity is high. Inversely, the best time to buy is when a commodity value is low.

Our key trade targets take into consideration those players that have moved significantly in value when compared to their average draft position (ADP) after the first 10 weeks of the NBA season.

Fantasy Basketball Week 11 Trade Targets

Buddy HieldSacramento Kings

Action: Buy Low

Hield has been in a slump the last few weeks. During that time, he is only averaging 16.4 points a game. On top of the slump, Hield has had to apologize to his team after questioning the trust of the coaching staff. Trust issues aside, Hield is too good of a shooter to remain cold for the rest of the year.

No doubt his shooting touch will come back soon and his three-pointers made and points per game will return to levels seen earlier in the season.

Lonzo Ball – New Orleans Pelicans

Action: Buy Low

Ball appears to be finding his groove again after an injury hampered his playing time earlier in the season. However, his overall value is still below where I believe he will finish the year.

Lonzo has always been a great source of assists and steals. His improved three-point shooting is a nice addition to his game this season. As Ball’s confidence builds, I believe his steals and block numbers will also climb. Don’t forget that he is only 22 years old. He will get better as the season goes on.

Karl-Anthony Towns – Minnesota Timberwolves

Action: Buy Low

Fantasy Managers might be getting frustrated by the nine games Towns has missed. However, Towns is due back soon according to Kyle Ratke of the Timberwolves’ official site.  Towns is a top-5 player when healthy, so if you can package two average players for him or even offload a player in the 10-20 ranking range, you will be getting a better long term deal. Now is the best time to act on getting Towns from an owner who is frustrated and/or may need more depth on their squad.
