Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Week 6

Welcome to Week 6 of the fantasy basketball season! It’s been officially over a month now since the season started so don’t be afraid to cut the dead weight on your fantasy basketball teams! Keep an eye on the schedule this week with no games on Thursday due to Thanksgiving. I am thankful to all the readers and everyone supporting us at Fantrax! Here are a few players to consider adding from your fantasy basketball waiver wire who are primed for success!

Week 6 Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire

Aleksej Pokusevski, SF/PF/C – Oklahoma City Thunder (60% rostered)

Aleksej Pokusevski is an absolute must-add for me and a fantasy waiver wire winner in my eyes. The talented 7-footer from Serbia is highly rostered but not high enough for me! The catch? He’s currently dealing with a left ankle sprain, but it’s not expected to keep him out of the lineup for too long. Take advantage if any managers panicked and dropped because the potential with Pokusevski is way too tempting to pass on.  Poku time officially has arrived as the 20-year-old posted 13.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2.6 blocks over five of his last six games. Poku has hit at least 15 points and six rebounds four times over the last three weeks and has at least three blocks in three straight games. With his triple position eligibility make sure you add him to your fantasy rosters. Poku was great last season for fantasy Championship managers averaging 14.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 9 assists over his final four games. Sign me up for Poku time all day every day!

Shake Milton, PG/SG – Philadelphia 76ers (31% rostered)

Shake Milton time has arrived in Philadelphia. Milton is fresh off averaging 21 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 3PTM over his last two games with Tyrese Maxey out of the lineup with a foot injury. Maxey is expected to miss 3-4 weeks and James Harden is still a couple weeks away from returning meaning pick up Shake Milton right now! Milton immediately becomes a top-three scoring option on the team and the 5th-year pro was great during certain spurts last season when given an expanded role. Milton averaged 18.8 points last season in games he played over 35 minutes. Not too shabby if you ask me! I’m off to the Shake Shack to grab me some Milton with a side of fries’ baby!

Derrick White, PG/SG – Boston Celtics (52% rostered)

Derrick White cannot be ignored any longer and his rostered level needs to skyrocket. White has just been a fantasy force of late ranking in the top-30 over the last month in fantasy and finished in the top 10 last week averaging 19.3 points, 3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 2 steals, and 3.3 3PTM. Not to mention the veteran shot 63% from the field and 100% from the free-throw line. Impressive stuff for sure! Malcolm Brogdon returned to the lineup and it didn’t matter. White has forced the Celtics to play him heavy minutes so do not let him be available on your waiver wire any longer!

Tyus Jones, PG – Memphis Grizzlies (51% rostered)

Tyus Jones is another must-add due to the unfortunate injury to star Ja Morant. Morant is dealing with a Grade 1 ankle sprain and is likely to miss multiple weeks meaning Jones will run the point in Memphis. Jones has been great this season when given the minutes. In his last two games where he played 30 minutes, Jones is averaging 20 points, 7.5 assists, 2 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 2 3PTM. He will rack up the assists for you and provide solid contributions in points and steals. Add away!

Torrey Craig, SF/PF – Phoenix Suns (23% rostered)

Torrey Craig is making some noise in Phoenix. Craig has started seven straight games for the Suns with Cam Johnson out of the lineup and will continue to do so for the next month at least. Craig has been great scoring double-digit points in four-straight games averaging 13.3 points, 7.3 rebounds 2.3 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks. Going from 21.3 minutes per game to 30.2 will do fantasy wonders. Don’t sleep on Craig folks!
