Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds: Week 18

The 2023-24 fantasy basketball season for this season is coming down to the wire and the waiver wire adds are more important than ever. With seven weeks left in the NBA regular season, the fantasy basketball playoffs are near to commencing. March 11 is the first day of the playoffs, so we have two weeks to get ready to win championships. At this point, playoff spots are clinched more than likely. If you are still fighting for a spot or clinched already, there is always room for improvement. Last week’s waiver wire adds featured players like Royce O’Neale and Grayson Allen. O’Neale exploded for 43 fantasy points in a Sunday night win vs the Lakers. Allen has been a great running mate next to Devin Booker as Bradley Beal constantly deals with injuries.

With that being said, the Week 19 Waiver Wire Adds feature three guards who are picking up their play when it matters most.

NBA Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds

Terance Mann, G/F – Los Angeles Clippers (31% rostered)

Terance Mann has averaged just 15.9 fantasy ppg this season. In the past month, he has seen just 17.25 fantasy ppg. Although it is more than his season average, it is nothing to be impressed by. That changed the past week. Mann had a fantastic week as he averaged 29.83 fantasy ppg. He achieved averages of 15 ppg, 8 rebounds and 3.7 assists in the three games he played in. In his last 44 games starting for the Clippers, he has seen double-digit points 14 times. Although that is just 31% of those games, I am a positive person. Mann has seen over 20 fantasy points in his last four games with one of those games seeing 40 fantasy points.

Mann is not the first, second, or third option on this Clippers team, but he is a guy who is a starter and sees quality minutes. At just 31% rostered across Fantrax Leagues, Mann is more than likely available in your leagues. It is a dart throw, but one that can pay at the end of the day.

Cole Anthony, G – Orlando Magic (77% rostered)

Cole Anthony has played fairly well off the bench for the Orlando Magic. In his last seven games, Anthony has seen double-digits in all but one of those games. In his last seven games also he has seen 26 or more fantasy points in four of the seven. Anthony also has averaged 27.67 fantasy ppg the past week which is higher than his season average of 22.4 fantasy ppg. Cole Anthony is the leader of the second unit of the Magic and he has found himself producing his best basketball during this time. Currently rostered in just 77% of Fantrax leagues, Anthony should be rostered onto your fantasy team as the playoffs roll around. Cole Anthony is my favorite Waiver Wire add for Week 19.

Cody Martin, G/F – Charlotte Hornets (29% rostered)

Lamelo Ball cannot stay healthy. No matter how talented a player is, the best ability is availability. Cody Martin has taken full advantage of this. Martin has been in the starting line-up since late January and has stayed the same in that time with some spike games. In the past week though, Cody Martin has averaged 26.3 fantasy ppg which is 6.3 ppg higher than his season average. My favorite players in fantasy basketball fill the stat sheet up and that is what Cody Martin has been doing. In his last game, Martin produced 37.5 fantasy points on 11 points, two steals, six rebounds, and ten assists. It is unclear whether Lamelo Ball will even come back this season. With Martin practically being available in all Fantrax leagues, go add him now before another big game happens.
