Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds: Week 17 Part 2

With the All-Star break set to end on Thursday, this is when fantasy basketball championships are won. There are fewer than 30 games for every single NBA team left. Past waiver wire adds have featured players such as Josh Hart, Brandin Podziemski, Andre Drummond, and many more. A player such as Brandin Podziemski is a league winner. These players were once rostered in under 40% of leagues on the Fantrax app. Podziemski is now rostered in 77% of leagues and has averaged over 28 fantasy ppg over the past month.

Among the Waiver Wire adds for Week 18, I have two players from one team and then a lethal shooter from the Miami Heat.

NBA Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds

Grayson Allen, G/F – Phoenix Suns (77% rostered)

Grayson Allen was known to be a good player at the University of Duke but dealt with a lot of claims of being a “dirty player”. There have been a few occasions where Allen has tripped an opposing player. That was then and this is now. Allen has seen four NBA teams in his six-year career with two of those being on the Milwaukee Bucks. Personally, those two years on the Bucks have molded Allen into the player he is today. Allen is having the best season in his young NBA career and is shooting 48% from the three-point land. With Allen playing his best basketball, adding him in all Fantrax leagues is a must. With his high success in hitting three-pointers, Allen is someone to roster, especially in category leagues.

Duncan Robinson, G/F – Miami Heat (59% rostered)

Terry Rozier is set to be week-to-week with a sprained right knee. Even with the All-Star Break, Rozier is set to miss games after the games return this Thursday. This is where Duncan Robinson comes into play. With a fully healthy Miami Heat squad, Robinson comes off the bench. With injuries, there is no better person to plug into your shooting guard position than one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA. Robinson has seen games of 40.25 and 27.25 fantasy points to go into the break. Now, with Rozier still dealing with his injury, Robinson should still see over 25 minutes of playtime. Robinson is currently rostered in 59% of Fantrax leagues and should be added if he is available in your leagues. Keep Robinson until the Heat get the return of Terry Rozier. Robinson is my favorite Waiver Wire Add for Week 18.

Royce O’Neale G/F – Phoenix Suns (42% rostered)

Waiver Wire adds tend to get a little tricky near the end of the season. I do not like to repeat players and try to find new players who can help you produce. This is where Royce O’Neale comes into play this week. In his past five games, O’Neale has had over 20 fantasy points in four of them. With his new team, the Phoenix Suns, O’Neale has had three games with them. He had over 25 fantasy points in two of the three games.

Royce O’Neale is not someone who drops buckets all over your favorite team. This is a guy who fills the stat sheet up and hits his shots when called upon. In his last game before the break, O’Neale had nine points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. These are the players you want when it comes down to the playoffs. O’Neale will be a major factor for the Suns’ bench and is my favorite Waiver Wire Add this week.
