Fantasy Basketball: Top 50 Dynasty Point Guard Rankings (Post-All-Star Update)

It has been nearly two months since I updated my dynasty point guard rankings. There have definitely been quite a few changes since the last one. Several bright young stars have skyrocketed, while some well-known veterans have slipped. The end of the season is approaching, but I still think there are several more surprises in store this year.

Biggest Risers

Jeremy Sochan

Sochan made the biggest jump in these rankings, rising 11 spots. He is starting to develop a well-rounded fantasy game and at just 20 years old, that obviously bodes extremely well for his dynasty value. Over the last two weeks, Sochan has averaged, 11.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.8 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 0.6 three-pointers. Since January 26th, he’s racked up four games with at least 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Collin Sexton

Sexton moves up 10 spots in this update. He is in his sixth season, but somehow he just turned 25 years old last month. Sexton has always been an effective scorer, averaging over 20 points twice in his career. However, this year, he’s added a new dimension to his fantasy game as a passer. He is averaging a career-high 4.7 assists this season. Over the last month, Sexton is averaging 19.5 points and 6.7 assists.

Biggest Fallers

Terry Rozier

Rozier took the biggest tumble down the rankings. He has dropped 11 spots since the last update. Rozier was having a career year with Charlotte but ended up being traded to Miami at the trade deadline. The change in scenery did not bode well for his fantasy value. Since being dealt to the Heat, Rozier has averaged just 12.6 points, 5.6 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 1.1 three-pointers, and 0.8 steals. It’s a significant drop off in production compared to the 23.2 points, 6.6 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 three-pointers, and 1.1 steals he was averaging with the Hornets.

Ben Simmons

Simmons slides down 10 spots from the last dynasty point guard rankings. Since arriving in Brooklyn last season, his dynasty value has plummeted. Over the last two years, he has played in only 56 games and averaged 6.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.6 blocks and zero three-pointers made. Those stats also come with one of the worst free-throw percentages in the league. He’s averaging a measly 3.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists over the last two weeks. Since the start of the 2019-20 season, Simmons has played in 171 games, so his durability is a huge concern.

Players Who Could Move Up The Dynasty Point Guard Rankings

Scoot Henderson

I think most people predicted a better rookie season for Scoot Henderson. There have been some bumps in the road for the 20-year-old, but he’s had some bright spots as well. He has picked things up as of lately, averaging 16.3 points, 5.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.4 three-pointers over the last month. Malcolm Brogdon could still be a slight hindrance next year, but I expect Scoot to take over the reins in 2024-25.

Keyonte George

Utah is starting to fade from the playoff picture and they are leaning more on their youth. As a result, George has seen at least 25 minutes of action over the last eight games. In that duration, he has averaged, 15.0 points, 5.1 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 3.1 three-pointers, and 1.0 steals. Keyonte will most likely start the rest of the season and play all the minutes he can handle. We should get a very good glimpse of what he’s capable of down the stretch. At 20 years old, his dynasty stock is definitely on the rise.

Players Who Could Move Down The Dynasty Point Guard Rankings

Jordan Poole

Poole came over from the Golden State Warriors to the Washington Wizards this season. It was a move that was expected to boost his fantasy value. He was primed to have a career year with the Wizards, but his fantasy game has regressed. He is currently averaging 16.1 points, 3.7 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.1 steals. All of those stats, except the steals, are down from last season in Golden State.

Jrue Holiday

The move to Boston has not treated Holiday’s fantasy game very well. His points per game are the lowest since his rookie season and his assists per game are the lowest since the 2011-12 season. Over the past month, he is averaging just 12.0 points, 5.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.1 steals. Jrue turns 34 years old in June, so his dynasty value will continue to take a nosedive if he can’t bounce back soon.
