Fantasy Basketball Schedule Preview: November 1 – 7

As we roll into week two, most rosters have been impacted by a few key variables: lower than expected performance      (our buy low candidates), injuries, and a slightly awkward schedule. As General Managers, we must manage these to the best of our ability. This week should be slightly easier with a more consistent schedule across the league.

Streaming players is straightforward. Find the player that maximizes your schedule advantage with the highest statistical upside in a given period of time. For this week, here are three under-the-radar plays that could help your fantasy team.

Matisse Thybulle – PHI – SF/SG

Matisse Thybulle is not the typical fantasy gem but is no doubt a game-changer on defense. In 3 games last week, Thybulle collected 8 steals and 5 blocks. This week, he has 4 games. You do the math. If you need defensive stats, let Thybulle loose.

Jeremy Lamb – IND – SG/SF

Jeremy Lamb is still finding his footing after recovering from injury and is not a high minutes play. However, if Malcolm Brogdon and Caris LeVert are out, the Pacers will need Lamb to contribute during his 20 minutes on the floor. Lamb is a deep league play but has scored in double figures in all five games. He is worth a shot if you need a boost while the Pacers are thin.

P.J. Washington – CHA – PF

After a slow start and missing the last two games to a knee injury, P.J Washington is starting to get dropped in standard leagues. While not playing up to expectations, PJ Washington is still a 1 – 1 – 1 threat (1 three, 1 steal, 1 block) each night he plays. That is useful, especially during weeks his team plays 4 games.
