Gameweek 17 Waiver Wire Targets

Here we outline Fantasy EPL Gameweek 13 Waiver Wire Targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax.  These players will also have a favorable run of fixtures upcoming, so they could perform very well over the upcoming period!

Daniel Podence

Position: Midfielder

Team: Wolves

Rostered: 25%

Next Fixture: Brighton (Away)

Prospects: With Jimenez suspended, Podence could get a start in the attacking slots for Wolves this week. In a decent fixture against Brighton, I like Podence to offer MID3 upside and value. If he performs well he could get a run in the XI, and prove to be a useable asset.

Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3% of my remaining FAB on Podence.

Cucho Hernandez

Position: Forward

Team: Watford

Ownership: 35%

Next Fixture: Burnley (Away)

Prospects: Cucho got a rare start in the loss to Brentford. He didn’t look impressive, but it could take him a few weeks to get up to speed. Hernandez is worth a punt against lowly Burnley. He has the upside of a FWD2 in this matchup, but will more likely offer FWD3 value.

Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or about 0-2% of my remaining FAB on Hernandez.

Jan Bednarek

Position: Defender

Team: Southampton

Ownership: 20%

Next Fixture: Crystal Palace (Away)

Prospects: Bednarek should have a better outing this gameweek against Crystal Palace than he did against Arsenal. He is a massive threat from set-pieces and should have a decent floor in this one. I can’t see Palace scoring more than 1 this week, but would still back the Saints with a decent shout for a clean sheet. Saints are without their star keeper, but the return of Salisu to the XI will help their defensive chances.

Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or about 0-2% of my remaining FAB on Bednarek.
